Since when did Cybertron have grass? Or... y'know still be here? The fact that it's still... I mean that it's not... y'know really... dead and stuff is sort of-

NO REALLY WHY IS THERE GRASS HERE?

[He sounds pretty disturbed by this]

Not that grass is bad! I like grass, it was great on earth, if... y'know anyone here has been there at all, but like- Is that a farm? ... There's a tiny farm he- Did anyone see the tiny farm? Oh my god, I have to get a picture of this no wait, hold on.

Got it in one, and I'll warn you it gets a little weirder yet, since there's a decent number of us around.

It's really nice to meet you, too, and nah. I've been here for some months and the initial adjustment was not too bad at all. Most of the people are really nice, and that made things a lot easier.

So there's... no huge... war going on or anything?

No huge war going on, and kind of a general truce called, but there's some shit stirring with Unicron, which is apparently what's behind the Miasma which brought us here. That blackish mist, you might've got a glimpse of it when you first found yourself here? That's the stuff, and best avoided.

But Unicron isn't real...

Some people've said otherwise, and insist pretty adamantly. I haven't seen anything save the Miasma myself, but I can confirm it is not good juju.

Good call. Whatever would happen would probably not be pleasant. Fortunately, there's a fair-sized area free of the Miasma. You're at the farm, you're in the southwest portion of it. Would you like a map?

So, since this is all pretty weird, you probably have a couple of questions...?

Like, grass? And... giant barn? And trees? Those were kind of answered though.

Also, where are all the buildings? Cybertron has cities almost everywhere?

And where's all the people? I haven't seen many Cybertronians around, I mean I got Breakdown and Wing but other than that-

Also, can I kit my drone out with cool stuff? Like personalize it? Like if I wanted to reskin it and make it look all Tron, could I do that?

[If she weren't laughing, Sam might try to stop him---as it is, that'll have to wait a second, as will actually answering, because this is so like her first conversation with Hiro. Sure, nothing is trying to maul Soundwave and he isn't up a tree, but the tangents? The tangents come close.]

Expected buildings being absent I'd explain as probably part different Cybertron, part Miasma shenanigans, and part terraforming efforts, since the grass and trees had to go somewhere. [Yeah she's just going to interrupt to answer because that might be the only way to get Soundwave to stop. Dude's aptly named.] As for all the people, most would be in the city itself, which is underpopulated---even by my standards, which is saying something. There's no easy in or out thanks to the Miasma, so... yeah. There are other Cybertronians, though, don't worry.

There's no reason why not! It's your comm drone, for one thing, and for another just asking around will probably get you supplied with whatever you need for whatever you want to do to it, materials-wise, and you could probably borrow harder-to-find tools from Wheeljack---he's the chief engineer, and an easygoing guy. [There's a little chuckle.] Gave us an extra drone to pick apart and incorporate into the theatre's sound set-up, so people could tune in to pick up a show's audio. For context, it's kind of a drive-in slash walk-up slash drop in outdoor theatre, just recently completed.

Awesome, I'm totally reskinning this thing. I'm gonna make the most kickass, awesome looking drone, it's gonna be the most high tech piece of equipment on the planet when I'm through with it.

...yeah, no, he's what everybody wishes their science teacher was and one of the people who made it easier to adjust to being here by being so nice. Point in case, I went to see him one day about the drones, and the conversation touched on issues of transportation...? He took me touring around the warehouse to find something I liked, and modified a skidoo for me so I could drive it on dry ground. He's a doll.

Man, I can do anything with drones. You wouldn't believe the work I put into Laserbeak, it's kinda of more like a pet now than anything.

Okay, so not terrifying. I can totally deal with that, I should meet him if he's that into gear and stuff.

You'll have to tell me about it, if you wouldn't mind telling twice---the roommate I've mentioned? Yeah, he's gonna want to hear all about it.
