[Hi everyone, you know what you need? A cranky, shitty, smoking, dirty old robot, stomping through the fields and orchards here, blowing smoke and yelling. Mostly at his drone, which doesn't care how cranky Hare is. Hare can't tell if it's sentient or not, but that doesn't matter.

LA? You Californian? You are or aren't, either way it is nice to meet another Earthling! And I get the feeling you're going to do whatever you want, but you might want to keep the drone that's following you for now, since the drones're standing in for phones.

Short answer: rolling the dice. But don't mind me being a smartass, it's just that the Gateways've always had my hackles up.

They're safe, though; they just seem sorta sketch. They're these big basically teleportation portal apparatuses, and you can go through one to warp to any of the others. There's still a lot of walking to get around when you're without a ride, but the Gateways do cut it down.

That was more or less my most pressing question not too long ago, but no, no. They're safe for mechanical people, safe for organic people, and I've got some trusted sources plus months of my own experience backing that.

No Gateway on the moon for you to go to, so I think it's safe to say no. I'm pretty sure the set is synced, and the head engineer is on point. He might be someone to ask about the availability of coal, come to think of it. His name's Wheeljack, and his workshop's near the Warehouse.

It'd be closer to home but not half as hospitable. Here... there's a lot to get used to, but it's not a bad place to be.
