1st Bite [Video]

[The screen flicks on, but there seems to be something wrong with a it. A long crack runs down the right side, fragmenting the image. The color also seems off, though its hard to tell if you haven't seen the speaker's paintjob before.]

Oh, you do still work. Hm.

[A big seeker of a less boxy variety than most leans in and raps on the screen with a knuckle, sending the drone drifting backwards with a distressed beep.]


I'll have to go find a bigger rock.

Maybe they'd take that one, fix it, then give it back? It's not like they're just gonna give you an endless stream of the things for you to keep breaking, after all. That'd be stupid.

Starscream. I'm actually a clone. He was always ranting about how inept Megatron was at leadership.

Hmph... well, that explains the voice...

[Not quite as grating as his own Universe's Starscream, but still...]

Clone though, hmm? Can't say the Decepticons ever got much into cloning in my universe. And when we did it was usually done at the moment of sparking- basically creating spark-twins artificially. Never did it on Seekers though; there were enough of us already, and it was easier just to spark more normally if more were needed.

The cloning was all Starscream's idea. Not many of his build left after the war. Course, he had help from the All-spark.

That might explain a few things then; the war's still going on where I'm from. Least it was when I was pulled away from it. Can't say I'm surprised about him being one of the last Seekers flying, though. He's a tough mech to kill, for better or worse.

And what's the All-spark? Is that your world's equivalent of the Matrix or something?

More tough to keep him dead, I'd say. [Dirge is well acquainted with the regenerative properties of the All-spark.]

No, I'm.... pretty sure we have the Matrix too. [He frowns in thought for a moment.] It makes new sparks. Mostly. [It's never made one for him. Probably because the piece he has is a tiny fragment.]

Hmmm... It sounds more like Vector Sigma, then. There are a number of ways to spark a mech- the Matrix being another one- but Vector Sigma's the most common. Or at least it used to be before the war drained Cybertron's energy reserves badly enough that it shut down
