1st Bite [Video]

[The screen flicks on, but there seems to be something wrong with a it. A long crack runs down the right side, fragmenting the image. The color also seems off, though its hard to tell if you haven't seen the speaker's paintjob before.]

[A big seeker of a less boxy variety than most leans in and raps on the screen with a knuckle, sending the drone drifting backwards with a distressed beep.]


I'll have to go find a bigger rock.

Not destroy it. Just break it. They said I would be issued a new one if my current drone got damaged.

I was told if mine became damaged I would be given another one. And that is exactly what I want.

Takes nine months, technically, but if a new human is going to do much of anything independently... it's more like fourteen years. Minimum.

I assume you mean human made machines. Earth metals seem flimsy. They taste nice though.

[He grabs the little drone and shakes it, causing the screen to go all fuzzy with static for a few seconds.]

Unless yours is the one that removes his wing and uses it for a sword, I doubt there is much difference.

[Dirge has been through this before and he's found that variations on Starscreams are mostly in their looks. Except for a few rare exceptions.]

To get another one. My plan was to fix this one up later in secret so I could build up a little hoard of them. But the headlights mech said they had to be damaged beyond repair.

[Which is making him a very sad little clone. You can tell by the way his wings droop.]

Not only that, but I was told the spare parts aren't really worth anything either.
