I have been thinking, and something has been unclear to me. I cannot be the first to have considered the possibility, so I hope someone out there will help me to understand.

It seems common that we come from different worlds, but most of us seem to come from a Cybertron. We have different frame designs, different memories. That has been explained as a sort of parallel universe; I can see that. What I wish to know is if anyone here knows that at least one other person has come from their own world, their own universe's history.

[He hesitates, because it's been a long shot, but this next question is what he really meant to ask. He knows it's terrible to hope, and even if he isn't ready to leave this place, he needs to know that it could be possible.]

More importantly, if you do, do you remember a time when they disappeared from your world without any reason or explanation?

That's...a hard one to answer for me. Knock Out and Bulkhead are both from my world, but I'm....dead by the time they left our world and showed up here. But from when I showed up here, both of them says it's months before I die, so...[shrugs. Has he fried your processor now?]

So, you are alive in their memories, for a time. You did not simply vanish when you arrived here.

That could mean you are from the same world, the same history, but at some point, you eventually will return. [And then that look slips, for just a tiny moment.] Or you could be another version of you.

Considering what they remember, and what I remember, from before we ended up here matched up perfectly? I doubt we're from different versions of our world.

No one has yet come here from my world, but then, I myself do not hail from any one world. Or universe.

[The great head cocks to one side, studying the new face.]

That said, however, it has been known that people of the same timestream, time, and even location have come here, even recognizing one another from "back home". To my knowledge, no one's noticed another's absence before even if they come from slightly different times in their shared lives, one after another. However, one who had actually experienced this could answer that better.

Many thanks. This does help me greatly in my endeavor. I feel I will always have questions about this, but I understand we have no way home, not yet. These answers... may mean that we will, eventually, but why would we not remember?

Remember when others disappear from our own worlds, if they do. It does not make sense that we would not.

You assume that time is linear and flows the same for all realities. Could it not be the case that one might leave his timestream of origin, spend a lifetime in another realm or dimension, and finally return to his own world at the exact same instant from whence he left?

I wish I could answer your question, friend. I'm afraid the only one I know from my world came here much later in time than I did, and we had...parted ways many cycles prior to his memories.

[But not to Wing's memories. In his memories he'd seen Drift just shortly before arriving here...but then...who's to say how time passes for the dead?]

While there's nobody here from my Earth, I have heard stories of people disappearing without reason or explanation. Not sure how credible they are, though...

My friend Ventus was here before, back when the Firstforged were still running things. And I dunno whether he disappeared exactly, but I know something happened to him. Because it was about 12 years between the time I last saw him back home and when I met him in Haven, and near as I could tell, he hadn't aged a day.

That could have many explanations, but I will make note of it. Did your friend seem to remember anything at all during the time he was gone?

He remembered things from Haven; he'd already been there a good while before I showed up. Long enough to name a chicken after me.

But he'd been pulled from pretty much right after he'd met me back home, so he didn't know any more about the time in between than I did.

Perhaps the Miasma has more control over time than we know. It is possible, since some of us come from different times in the same world. I would not know how to find out.
