I'm not a protoform. [Dirge grumbles, because he's pretty sure that's what Jade is implying with that 'winglet' word.]

It doesn't matter anyway... The spirit medium refused. I'm stuck not murdering anyone. [He ex-vents loudly.]

[A little 'huff of air' though his vents. Could've fooled him on the protoform thing sometimes. Though at least he doesn't have to talk you out of killing anyone.]

That's not what 'winglet' means.

[Well technically it could, but it didn't in this case.]

It just means a rookie; a young, inexperienced Seeker. Well, flier in general really, but Seekers use it most often.

Oh. [It occurs to Dirge he's not very familiar with his own frametype's colloquialisms on account of not being around other seekers. That and lacking an upbringing really.]

[All the more reason to let Jade take you under his wing (so to speak) a bit. Keep you from doing anything especially dumb til you have a chance to grow into your own shell.]

Time, mostly. The longer you live, the more you learn, and the more experience you gain.

And the best way to live a long time is to avoid doing things that might make people want to kill you, if at all possible.

Sounds easy. And then someday you'll have to call me something else?

[He laughs at that last comment.] Killing me is a lot harder than you'd think. I doubt anyone around here could do it.

Maybe. Though depending on the circumstances, some of the things might not be repeatable in polite company.

[Because Seekers can be potty-mouths, especially when those around them do stupid things.

The comment about him being hard to kill just makes the smirk broaden.]

Watch who you say that to. You never know who's gonna show up here, and some bots might take it as a challenge.
