[Drift looks like he's seen better days, but HEY he's alive.]

Wing! Where the hell are you!?

[Voice weary, but releived.]

Drift! Here. I'll send my coordinates. [He's actually not far from where Drift is right now.]

Got 'em. Just wait there, I'll be right over.

...In a bit, actually. I popped a tire.

[Oh Drift.]

How about you tell me where you are then, and I'll come to you.

[He was killing REALLY HARD ok]

[You know what he just sends his coordinates THAT'S EASIER]

[And by shortly he means like...15 seconds, because you really aren't far away. He spots Drift and goes right to him, HUGGING tightly like he's never going to let go.]

[Drift's not complaining. He clings to Winglike a leech, finally feeling like he can relax since this whole ordeal started.]

Primus, I was so afraid I'd lost you again...

[He doesn't want to say the Drift almost had.] It's over now... [And yet he sounds kind of miserable at that.]

...What happened to Galos? [And that's probably the coldest Drift has ever heard Wing's voice.]

[That's actually a bit startling, Drift's never heard him like that before. he steps back a bit, gripping Wing's shoulders in what he hopes is a reassuring gesture while he studies his face and tries not to look as worried as he actually is.]

He's dead. At least, I think he's dead.

[Wing's optics shutter at the news...and he nods.]

I... I don't know. The ground started to collapse and I lost track of everything. I was more focused on trying to find you. I should have been paying attention.

[He shakes his head and gives Drift a little smile.] No. No, it's all right. He's gone...that is enough.

And you're alive, and that's what matters. Let's go get fixed up, repairs should be working properly again.

[Drift nods, giving Wing's shoulders one last squeeze before reaching to take his hand. Like a dork.]

You think so?

[He grimaces...and nods.]

Yes, I'm pretty sure of it. When-- I felt-- [Sighs...] I'll tell you everything that happened once we're repaired...

[He'll tuck to Drift's side as they walk...]

That's fine. Don't strain yourself.

[silly wing being smooshed this close make walking awkward. Drift doesn't complain though, more than happy with the contact and HEY he can play crutch if he needs to. Even if he's kind of not in the best shape himself.]

[He won't weigh Drift down at all, just keep him close. It's awkward, but he doesn't care right now.]

Fighting. Lots of fighting. Because of Galos, but it sound like you already have that figured out.

I don't know about you, but I'm a bit tired of constant battle.

[The sparkache is clear in his voice.]

[This was probably the most upset Drift had ever heard Wing, and frankly it was worrying him a lot. Said worry was apparent on his face as he gave the jet a gentle squeeze.]

........He used a sparkling to power his...spell. The only way to free her and to stop Galos from leaving us all as undead husks was to free Death so she could die.

[There....he said it...]

[Drift doesn't quite get it but man it sounds pretty horrible anyway.]

Oh, God. That's... that's horrible.

[Aaaand it explains why Wing wanted to get at Galos daaamn.]

[And suddenly getting repaired first doesn't seem so important. He stops, gazing at the ground.]

We tried...we tried everything we could think of to free her and the other Guardian's Galos had captured, including Paian, but we couldn't. We didn't have time. We were being drained of life even as we stood there helpless to do anything but harm an innocent sparkling. [Fists clench as his side, and he's shaking now, plating rattling softly.]

[Drift moves in front of Wing and wraps his arms around him, holding him close.]

Wing, listen. It isn't your fault. It's nobody's fault but Galos. None of you did anything wrong, if anything you freed her from suffering.

[Wing leans into him, arms coming up to loosely wrap around Drift.]

There's no way of knowing. Don't do this to yourself, Wing. If you dwell on it like that, it's only going to hurt you.
