The reason why is clear as soon as her drone shows her, standing as she is beside the doorway of her bedroom... which is almost entirely blocked by furry masses. She presses a hand against the pile, testing its give, and there's a gritty shifting sound as her hand sinks a couple of inches. The noise should be familiar to a few of her fellow Haveners, if not telltale until---]

Got some bigass beanbags over here. And since I'm assuming someone did this---since nobody's talking about a beanbag invasion---I've gotta say, I'm kind of impressed. Check this out.

[She moves out of frame to take hold of her drone, pointing it up to and then pushing it through the little 'window' left open, near the top of the doorway. The short hall that leads to the rest of the apartment? FURRY BEANBAGS. It's furry beanbags as far as the eye can see---which isn't far, because, again, beanbags.]

Am I ever glad we made the moose door open out.

Right now I'm thinking I'll give most of them to the warehouse so that anyone who wants one can pick one up. I'm not sure where they came from, though. It could be the Miasma, but since it seems to be so localized, it might just be somebody's idea of a practical joke.

[True, and true again---but The Spine's been bumped up to #1 Suspect, since the ward on Sam's apartment makes the list of plausible suspects pretty short. The knowledge that a whole night of hauling beanbags about would be nothin' to the bot helps, too.]

Maybe two, if you want one of your own. [Sam gently guides Hiro away from the window, and then proceeds to turn with a beanbag like this is discus. The 'track' bit may be a lost cause, but she could cut a few 'field' events.] Breakdown makes for a great viewing deck, but something softer to sit on would be nice, too.
