GHOST EVENT [VIDEO]

[It's everyone's favorite bonkers clone, this time surprisingly lacking in anything weird like extra arms or handfuls of broken tomato pots. He is cringing though, very much different from his normal, confident behavior.]

He's here. And he won't leave me alone.

[Dirge glances over his shoulder, wings wilting low on his back.] I mean... I've always wanted attention from him. It was nice at first but...

[He interrupts himself with a scowl, actually turning to the side and taking a swipe at something off camera.]

And you! I did not kill you! This isn't fair! I had your word and now its worthless.

[His optics wander to his shoulder and he vents a sigh. There's a shimmery, half-translucent bird person sitting there now, pointing up at him accusingly.]

It was an accident. How do you think I felt about spitting feathers for days? If I'd wanted to eat you, I wouldn't have done it with my engine!

My template... The one I was cloned from. [His claws twitch, fidgeting anxiously.]

[And then he realizes who he's speaking to.] Wait a minute! See? You can't be dead! You're right there!

Yeah, no, I'm very much alive. And well, aside from now knowing there are apparently dopplegangers around again.

[Like the once wasn't enough...]

Then tell your ghost self to stop bothering me! I had your word on this! [He snaps, obviously quite irritated.]

[Dirge frowns and glances around. Should he be telling her this?]

Starscream built us bodies exactly like his and then he broke pieces off the All-spark fragment in his head to give us life.

Too bad you all turned out worthless.

[The clone snarls and reels on a ghostly figure that looks to be his counterpart in every way.]

And whose fault is that? Mine? Or yours for having such a slag-ridden personality?!

I had no part in this---it's not really me! I don't know what's up with it! But I'll try? If you can put her on the line, because I just... do not even.

Oh.

[That, she supposes, makes a sort of sense. She says nothing more, though, attention on the exchange.]

Oh, please. My personality is perfect. You're the one who's not using it correctly. But really, what else can one expect from a shadow of greatness?

[The ghost glances at the screen, crossing his arms over his chest.]

I wouldn't bother, if I were you. I'm sure he deserves what ever annoyance he is receiving.

[Dirge looks between them, hissing furiously, processor fighting the anger to form words.]

N-not using it correctly?! You didn't give me enough! And don't listen to him. [He points a sharp talon at the ghostly Starscream.] You have to help me, you're my friend! [Okay, practice friend but, close enough. Maybe.]

...Right?

I'd suspect as much myself, but I don't like having my word blemished by whatever the doppleganger's doing.

[Really, she'd rather not be misrepresented... but there are a few things Sam would really rather not be, and one of them is 'flattened by a great big foot' even if it... seems Dirge thinks of her as a friend, withing the status being formally agreed-upon.]

How do I know helping you to deal with the ghosts you've got won't come back to bite me in the ass?

[The Starscream ghost shakes it head and shrugs. Dopplegangers have been very useful to him the past, but the matters of a flesh creature mean next to nothing to him. For his part, Dirge looks relieved until she makes her second comment.]

If you don't, I'll consider our deal broken.

[He answers, forcing himself not to glance apprehensively at his template.]

I don't care if its not really you- its a pretty good equivalent and if I'm being haunted already I might as well get rid of the original!

[Sam frowns, feeling she can't afford to give an inch---not now.]

You get nothing if you make threats to me. You ask nice, not automatically assuming, I might advise you.

Threats are not all I'm going to make if this ghost does not leave. [Dirge snarls, ticked off that their deal has gone sour, regardless of what was to blame.]

So, please, give me your advice.

[Do you mean mistakes, motherfucker?]

[But, Sam will stay civil as the Seeker said 'please.']

Cover any mirrors you happen to have, scatter salt, and move anything silver---only the metal, not silver-tone stuff---to a safe place further from you. And, don't talk to the ghosts.

Dirge....who are you seeing?

[Dirge vents a miserable little sigh.] My template, Starscream. He must have died in that battle on Earth.

Also, the Sam Witch- [He holds up his hands quickly.] Who I did not kill and should NOT be haunting me!

Ehr...and her. [The jet points awkwardly to the bird woman on his shoulder.]

[Shakes his head.]

A spirit of someone still living? This is disturbing.

It's annoying is what it is! I play nice and I let her live and this is the thanks I get?

It's not her doing, Dirge. This is the Miasma's work, of that I'm sure. [So you stay away from her.]

[Hiro is going to focus on the second thing, because lol emotions.]

You ate a bird?

No! [Great, now you've got her hopping up and down and squawking at him again. He tries to slap at the apparition, but of course it just passes through her.]

She got caught in my engine! How was I supposed to know not to fly low in that area?

...because there are birds in that area, maybe?

I had no idea they flew! [He points sharply at the wing arms the ghost is sporting.]

Do those look flight capable to you?

[Hiro squints at the ghost for a moment, then offers a one-shouldered shrug.]

I've sort of stopped relying on the laws of physics around here, dude.

It wasn't around here! It was off planet!

[The ghost behind Dirge, an exact copy of him save for its translucent properties, shakes its head.]

You're wasting your time explaining anything to him. This one is especially defective.

[Transparent claws curl on Dirge's shoulder, shoving him to the side of the camera screen.]

[Talking to a ghost. Hm. Hiro's actually done weirder things, believe it or not.

And he's going to scowl right back.] And yet he's alive and you're transparent.
