[Video, Ghost event]

[Lea wasn't sure what to make of the ghostly forms wandering Haven. They certainly didn't seem to be doing any harm, at least not yet, but... they still bore watching. He wondered if Death knew about these spirits, or had allowed them in. He was just considering trying to contact said Guardian when he noticed something.

Namely, that one of the ghosts looked familiar.]

Flit...?

[Lea almost can't believe it at first. But now that he thinks about it, hadn't Death said something awhile back about him getting a chance to talk to her himself...?]

Jendayi...

[Lea crouches down enough to rest a hand on Jendayi's shoulder.]

This was... is... Flit. I met her not long after I got here.

[He pauses slightly, unsure how to explain this to the kid.]

Someone... someone very bad was using her to hold an evil spell together. The spell was causing her a lot of pain, and endangering everyone else in the city. And... in the end, there as only one way to break the spell and save everyone. So I... ended her pain.

[That was what Death had said, anyway. It still bothers him, but he's not certain what her ghost might want with him. If it's indeed her ghost, and not a Miasma-generated illusion of some kind...]

.....

[She steps up and slips her arms around his neck. Is he really saying what she thinks he is? He killed that robot-bat girl? Oh poor Lea...]

[Yes that's exactly what he's saying. He smiles sadly and readily wraps his arms around Jendayi as well, with a grateful sigh. He really needed that hug.]

[Pause]

...Death said I might get a chance to talk to her. But I'm not sure if this is that, or if it's the miasma playing ticks on us.

How will you know for sure?

I dunno. Death might say something. Or if they start genuinely causing trouble, we can sort of rule out Death doing it; he doesn't seem the type to mess with people like that.

[If she’d not talked with the odd being herself she’d not be so inclined to agree. But she knew he was right.] Do you think they want something?

From what I know about ghosts? Probably. But whether it's something we can provide or not remains to be seen.

That is, assuming these are actual ghosts and not just miasma-generated illusions.

[She hugs him for a long moment.....] I saw my Papa....

[Lea accepts that hug willingly and returns it.]

You did? Is he here now?

[Lea glances around to see if a new ghost has appeared.]

[She nods...] He’s in my room...he just stands there staring at me.

........Do...do you think he died? A-and followed me here as a ghost?

[Lea really doesn't know. He doesn't even know if any of these are actual ghosts. But he puts on his best reassuring smile for Jendayi's sake.]

Nah. I bet your Papa's too tough for that. This is probably just his way of checking up on you, making sure I'm doing a good job taking care of you.

[That puts a little smile on her face.]

I think Papa would like you.

That's good to know.

What's he like, anyway? You mention him a lot, but we haven't really talked about him much.

[And since they both need a distraction from ghostly things, now seems like a good time.]

He’s very gentle. He looks scary, or says people think so, but I think he looks fine. He’s patient, and kind, and does really amazing drawings. He was teaching me medicine, and how to cook. He’s really big and tall too, and I like when he lets me hang onto his tail when we go for walks in the forest.

He sound pretty cool. Course, most all the people I've met with tails are pretty cool. Is he any specific animal, or just big, friendly, and furry?

[She grins.] He’s a wolf type!

[Yup, her “Papa” is basically a werewolf...without the whole curse thing.]

A wolf huh? That's pretty cool. Never met a wolf before. Though I have met a dog. And get this; he's a knight too. Captain of King Mickey's royal knights, in fact. A little slow on the uptake sometimes, but you'll never meet anyone more loyal.

A knight? Wow! I’ve always wanted to meet a knight.

Well if you ever make it to my world, I'll introduce you. To him, and his King, Mickey, who's a mouse, and his friend Donald, who's the court wizard and a duck. He talks funny and has kind of a temper, but is still pretty cool.

I’d really like that. They sound like really neat people.

[She just snuggles to him...pointedly ignoring the fact that her Papa’s spirit has stepped into the doorway. Have a seven and a half foot tall, rather mean looking werewolf like creature staring at the little girl in your arms, Lea...]

[Yeah, ignoring that big ol' werewolfy-looking ghost. And the other ghost too. No ghosts here, nope!]

They are. Maybe a little too forgiving, some of 'em, but they're all pretty cool.

How can someone be too forgiving?

Let's just say that if I'd been in their place, I'd have been more suspicious of me after everything I'd done as Axel. But being that way's kinda part of Sora's charm.

...Maybe he could just tell you were a good person.

[Again...she understands he wasn't for a time, lost his heart, but he's a good person again.]

Heh... Maybe. Though Sora can- and generally tries to- make friends with just about anybody who isn't actively trying to kill him. Not sure how he does it, honestly.
