[Why hello there folks, I hope you like staring at the backs of people's heads because THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE DOING. It takes this little red mech a few seconds to realize that there's SOMETHING hovering behind him. he does this little half turn, lets out a SUPER MANLY (no) yelp and swats the thing out of the air, ending the recording.

But that's not all, folks. The camera blips on and off a few more times, catching Knock Out in various levels of annoyance, usually in the middle of either swearing or trying to shoo the thing away. Oh god little drone why are you here.

Finally Knock Out gives up and seems to have just accepted that he's made a new "friend". He looks exasperated as all hell when the little bugger starts recording him one last time.]

Fine, since this little drone seems hell bent on stalking me and recording it, I figured I might as well try to use this to my advantage. So, where am I and how do I leave? I was kind of in the middle of something.

[Knock Out pauses and glances slightly off camera, presumable at the drone itself.]

There, happy now? I swear, if someone come out here to blow me up because of you, I'm going to be very annoyed.

[Time lines...and the more they talk the more sure he is this Knock Out is real even without Sam showing up to give confirmation of any kind. He went through the whole "you're on Cybertron" thing before, but never got this kind of story from Knock Out...nothing even close to this...]

[He wants to ask more, but...] Your turn...[go ahead...as two, since he did.]

[Knock Out makes a grabby hand at Breakdown's hand. Shut up he wants to hold hands.]

Have you been okay here? And before you say anything, that totally counts as a question.

[That puts a smile on his face, and he'll easily take Knock Out's hand.]

Yeah...yeah, I have, actually. It's...weird here, but it's been...peaceful. Kind of a nice change.

[He glances down at their hands, giving a little squeeze.]

As for questions, I have several, but... I think it just hit me that I'm not dreaming or something.

[This makes his smile grow a bit more.]

Yeah...this is real.

[He's alive and Knock Out is really here...]

[And there's a knock at the door---down low.]

[WELL Knock Out was about to reply with something SUPER SAPPY, but it seems Breakdown has some company OH MY. He can't decide if he's annoyed or not but hey, he'll just sit and wait for Breakdown to deal with this.]

[Breakdown nearly groans...silently cursing Sam's timing. And while he's sure by now...well...wouldn't hurt to let her see him.]

Right back...

[He'll go answer the door now.]

[Sure enough, it's Sam, looking (and feeling) small in the Cybertronian-sized doorway.]

Breakdown, hey. I'm sorry if you were waiting. How's things?

[It's not like she wouldn't have a better idea with two minutes' conversation, but the big bot's aura is a little agitated---just a bit, which isn't indicative of another imposter... or an all-clear.]

Better than I expected...

[He sighs and steps back motioning Sam in.]

Hey Knock Out...this is Sam.

And uh...you know that thing earlier I said I didn't want to talk about?

[He kind of does a totally adorable and dorky thing and taps two big fingers together, looking sheepish, perhaps a little guilty.]

Well...you see, you actually showed up here about two weeks ago, only...it wasn't you. Was some kind of...fake.

[That sick look on his face might give Knock Out and idea of just HOW BADLY that encounter messed him up.]

[Oh Knock Out remembers Sam, they'd had a lovely conversation about Earth movies earlier. He gives the human a friendly little finger wiggle wave, but doesn't say anything until Breakdown's done.]

A fake? Not to be crude, but I hope you splattered him.

[Knock Out understands bro IN FACT]

It was just some fake me, right? No little weirdo human stuffed inside of it? Because I've seen that before and it's actually kind of creepy.

[She waves back, stepping in and sliding her shoes off. Is it necessary? No, but it's almost automatic, and the action gives her time to add;]

That fake's actually a part of why I'm over, but that can wait, so; say what?

[Knock Out, you have no idea how much he needed to hear you say that. He’s been fretting over the possibility of having maybe murdered you for a week now, so knowing you’re totally behind his tantrum makes him feel all better.]

[He even smirks.] Not a scrap left.

[And that last is gonna earn Knock Out a funny look.] Nooo...no human stuffed inside.....why? When have you seen something like that?

Well.

[Knock Out glances at Sam briefly. If it weren't for the fact that breakdown had apparently invited her over, he'd have likely shooed her out before continuing. but big blue seemed to trust her, and Knock Out wasn't exactly the most private person anyway. So hey, welcome to creepy robot story time, Sam.]

After we lost you, Dreadwing failed to recover your body. MECH had gotten a hold of it, because when weren't they up our mufflers, right? Well, long story short, they managed to find a way to attach their little leader to your remains and he was parading around inside of you like some kind of parasite.

Needless to say, when I was finally allowed to get my hands on him, I made sure he was well acquainted with my exam table.

[And totally shrugging like experimenting on some poor sucker was perfectly normal and not fucked up in any way.]

[His body--?! Breakdown had arrived short an optic but otherwise essentially alright, and this---yes, this---is the first Sam has heard of anything worse happening, since she was too busy talking to Knock Out to creep on other conversations. That there was something not just 'worse' but bad enough to actually off the big bot was... well, in one word, upsetting. And then there was everything else.]

[Frankendown?]

[what. the. fuck.]

[She glances up to the big guy, unsure of his reaction. At this point, she's still unsure of her own.]

[His reaction? He's shaking with rage, and looks about ready to smash something!!...but then Knock Out reaches the "needless to say" part and he gets a nasty grin on his face.]

You make him suffer a long time?

[Sorry Sam, your buddy here wasn't exactly one of the good guys.]

[Knock Out responds with a wicked little grin of his own. Y'know, like this was the most casual conversation ever NOTHING WEIRD HERE.]

Far longer than necessary. Turns out human/cybertronian hybrids don't react well to synthetic energon being pumped directly into their systems.

[For what's worse and worse, the worst part of this is what awaits Breakdown in the continuity Knock Out knows---assuming it can't be altered if the big guy's ever returned to where he would be. The exchange is... acceptable. Not good, but pending additional probably-important information, who's Sam to say?]

I'm sorry to interrupt, since this is already informative, but... what's this MECH business?

[Breakdown scowls.]

A militant group of......humans. They want our tech, and they feel the best way to get it is taking one of us apart.

[He reaches up to touch the eye patch before jerking his hand back to his side.]

Do you know what's funny, though?

[BECAUSE IF THERE'S ANYTHING THAT CAN BE SAID ABOUT THIS CONVERSATION, IT'S THAT IT'S FUNNY RIGHT.]

I'm fairly certain they don't exist anymore. Silas came to us wanting to join the Decepticons. I think he wiped out the rest of MECH after they went through all that trouble to stuff him into a dead body. Talk about gratitude, right?

Shit, small wonder I wasn't what you were expecting!

[Even interrupted, that rising hand is all too obvious.]

[Sam turns enough to address Knock Out, turns up her palms, and lets her hands fall, at a loss---almost.]

Some people.

[Yeah...considering his first really close encounter with humans was with MECH? Now Sam understands.]

[Breakdown as a little smirk on his face.] Good. Not how I wanted to see the rest of them go, but as long as Silas got a dose of his own medicine in the end, I'm good with that.

[He gives Sam a little shrug. At least this human seemed cool.]

I know, right? The nerve.

[And then he'll slink right on over and invade Breakdown's personal space like some kind of obnoxious cat because that's what he does.]

I had a feeling you'd appreciate it.

[She does understand, and if anything? The context has her impressed with his civility for that situation... and also begrudging these assholes the next world over a great deal, even if they're dead.]

The nerve, it baffles me. But it does bring me to an important question. So, people come here from different times, and for some strange or only-apparent reason, there's a fair few from your world. Miasma must like it; there may be more. These MECH dudes, and since you've mentioned him, Silas in specific---when he has his own face---what do they look like? If someone unpleasant arrives, I'd like to be able to identify them.

He uh...[hmm...describing a human...this is a new thing...]

[He takes a moment to snug Knock Out to him in something of a quick hug before stepping over to Sam. He kneels and holds his hand open over her head.]

About this tall, short gray...uh...this. [He'll kind of points at Sam's head. Sorry, this "hair" word is escaping him at the moment.] Square face.

[He shrugs and shifts back by Knock Out, just casually slipping an arm around the other bot.]
