Trust the Midas touch... or not.[video]
[The camera shows a closeup of a grumpy-looking Jade.]
Yeah, so... you know that gold paint I found?
[The camera pulls back to reveal that half the things in Jadewing's apartment are gold. Or at least gold colored. Including a few of the floor panels. As the camera rolls, Jadewing picks up a random bolt from his golden desk. The bolt suddenly becomes golden as well.]
Yeah... the miasma's messing with us again. Any idea how I make this stop?

Re: [video]
[A Cybertronian would probably only find it to be a moderate inconvenience, but to an organic...]

Re: [video]
Though next time I come across anything that the miasma has left behind, no matter how harmless it seems, remind me not to pick it up.

[Hiro clearly has the aesthetic taste of a tacky 85-year-old retiree living in Miami.]
Re: [video]
[He demonstrates by picking up a small number of other bolts, nuts, and screws from his desk. Only about half of them turn golden.]
See?
Re: [video]
Re: [video]
[Jadewing's tone suggests that his way of putting it would not be suitable for children to hear.]
Anyway, no, no pattern that I can see. Sometimes stuff changes on the first touch. Other times it takes two or three for it to work. I've gotten up to five touches with no change on a couple of occasions, but I can't tell if those are flukes or not.
[The camera pans down a bit to the surface of the desk. There are piles of now-golden nuts, bolts and screws arranged there, as well as a couple smallish golden bins containing unchanged ones. Clearly Jade has been experimenting a bit.]
No, he's not, at all.But he'll lean in to examine the golden materials.]...hmmmm. Does it only work on small things? Or only when you use your hand? What about stepping on things?
Re: [video]
Well, given that I accidentally gilded my desk and several floor panels, I'm guessing that the answer to both those questions is 'no'.
Which only makes it more dangerous, especially to organics.
[Voice]
[Wow, Breakdown, someone sounds grumpy...]
Re: [Voice]
[The two of you can be grumpy together til this wears off, Breakdown.]
Re: [Voice]
Re: [Voice]
[WELP.]
OK, I give. Yours was worse. I'm guessing you already... took care of the problem?
[Breakdown is a Decepticon, after all. And they don't take kindly to being fragged around with. If the fake Knockout wasn't scrap yet, it probably would be soon.]
Re: [Voice]
[And then he huffs a sigh.] This place....I didn’t think it could do something like that. He was...himself until today, and then he was so clearly....not that I...I know it wasn’t him.
[Dear Primus he hopes it wasn’t actually Knock Out....frag...what if this place did something to his partner and in a temper he just murdered the one closest to him? Now he’s thinking about his too much.] Scrap...
[Just...gonna...slide a big hand down his face, trying to banish these worrisome thoughts.]
Re: [Voice]
Most likely you did the right think. The miasma hasn't ever changed someone's personality before. Gotten them overcharged or made them laugh uncontrollably, yeah, but it hasn't made anyone unrecognizable.
[Him? He’s got a lot of gold cloth around him...interesting that.]
Re: [Video]
Re: [Video]
[Holds up a giant bolt of gold cloth for Jade to see.]
Re: [Video]
Guess we'll both have to be careful what... and especially who we touch til this wears off. I know how the human myth about this goes, and I'd rather not experience the real thing.
Re: [Video]
Re: [Video]
Don't suppose you've got a spare pair of those gloves on hand?
[It takes a moment before he realizes the pun he unintentionally made, and chuckles slightly]
Metaphorically speaking, I mean.
Re: [Video]
Re: [Video]
I'll have to ask him about it later then. Thanks.
Either way this is gonna be a fun few days; I can tell already.
[Sarcasm, thy name is Seeker.]
Uh...kinda glad I didn't take any, now.
Re: [Video]
[Sulky Seeker is sulky.]
There's nothin' you can do about it at all?
Re: [Video]
[Audio]
[Wow, someone HELLA cranky. Wait...is that weapons fire in the background? And the screeches of fire lizards?]
Re: [Audio]
Thundercracker? What the frag is going on over there?
[Audio]
Re: [Audio]
I'll be right there.
[Hopefully the building will still be standing when he gets there.]
[Audio]
[Well, door’s smashed off its hinges, actually – THANK YOU, BREAKDOWN – but same thing.]
[Audio] Threadjack
[Audio] Threadjack! 8D Also LOL probably about to PANIC poor Bulky XD
