[Oh dear. Someone's not in Kansas -- er, California -- anymore. Far from it; Hiro has Awakened in the Northwest District, and finds all this nature and trees extremely unusual and disconcerting. He's grimy and confused and irritated and he's trying desperately to orient himself. Where's the city? Where are the buildings or the wind turbines -- you can see those from anywhere.

The little robot following him would be way cooler if it weren't for the aforementioned nature, and the fact that Hiro has to keep shooing it away and interrupting it's welcome message.] I don't need any aid, I need my friends to stop being jerks and cut this out! Can you not-- personal space, buddy!

[He swats at the robot again, muttering dark, age-inappropriate words under his breath and stumbling over the uneven terrain. He's so focused on how irritated he is with his friends, that he almost doesn't see the wild boar snuffling through the underbrush.

...until he trips over it of course.] Hey! Watch where you're--

You’re on the outskirts of a city called Haven on the planet Cybertron. I imagine that doesn’t really mean much to you, though.

...I'm pretty sure I'm gonna totally freak out about that later, but right now it just seems cool.

[Wing chuckles softly and then offers his hand.]

I think it may be a good idea to get you to the city. What do you say?

[Hiro breathes a heavy sigh of relief, stepping forward to the offered hand.]

Yes, oh my god, yes.

[knight_light]

[Wing smiles and will wait for Hiro to climb into his palm.]

Hang on then. [He'll gently curl his fingers up around Hiro a bit and carefully stand, tucking his hand to his chest.]

[The Knight may have the time to start for the city, but he and his passenger should hear a shout in among the normal forest noises.]

HIRO? HELLO?

[It's a ways off, that voice; far enough to be faint, but near enough there's no guessing as to its owner.]

[Hiro looks mildly alarmed, glancing up at Wing.]

Oh, right. Some lady from Canada said she's coming too.

[Wing smiles.] Sam.

[He'll head her direction.] He's over here, Sam!

[Since she could just catch that, there's an acknowledging]

[and since (with his height) Wing's white armour makes him much easier to find than any treed teen, it isn't long before Sam's pulling up on something which was once a snowmobile. To Hiro it probably looks like a jetski on a tread-track, with two wheels under the engine.]

[Hiro rather recklessly leans over the side of Wing's hand to get a better look at the modified snowmobile.] You two know each other?

[Wing smiles at Sam, and then at Hiro.] We’re friends.

[Pausing to pull off her helmet, Sam stands and grins up at the others.]

Wing's the first I found here. And basically the best Samaritan.

[He just shakes his head.] Because she's human and I'm Cybertronian. [That's way 'humany' and 'roboty', kiddo.]

['Hiro wtf' is right; that assertion gets a real laugh out of Sam, even as she turns the hand not holding her helmet up in a wordless 'what's with this kid?']

It is a reference, but to a story so wide-spread across Earth 'Samaritan' is often used as a synonym to 'do-gooder'. I'll explain better later, but yeah.

[From that last word on, she's again addressing Hiro.]

You, me, Wing, and others. Maybe not often, but it's not uncommon, either.

[The actual explanation puts a mildly sheepish smile on Wing’s face. Best Samaritan, huh? He could accept that.]

As far as I understand it’s happened to possibly everyone currently on the planet. It’s...complicated.

Sam, would you like a ride back? [He can carry you and your little vehicle.]

[There is a subtle "and if it is, why not control your pigs?" in there somewhere. But come along, Sam, Hiro will needlessly scoot over.]

[She steps aside so Wing has room to get a grip on the machine, shrugging up at Hiro.]

[Wing will pick up Sam's stree'doo and offer the hand Hiro's in for her to climb onto.]

It...is, but isn't. As I said, it's complicated. The Cybertron I knew had been completely developed, cities everywhere, people everywhere. Anyway, apparently there are many versions of the same planet out there, a multiverse I guess you'd say. There are Cybertronians here there are not from the world I came from. Just as it's unlikely that you and Sam are even from the same world.

So yes, while this is my home planet, this isn't the Cybertron I was forged on.

[Hiro considers this gravely, propping his chin in his hands.] ...why? I mean, what's the motivation for bringing us all here and somehow making it plausible for us all to speak the same language and have breathable atmosphere and all that?

[Then, to Sam:] Earth? Terra firma? Good old third planet from the sun? You from there?
