[As odd as this place was, it only seemed to get odder as time went by. Waking up to find himself covered in strange paper..things was definitely close to the top of the list.
When the video kicks on Predaking is shaking himself free of some cards that had gathered on him while he rested, head tilting as he peered down at one of them.
How odd...]
What are these strange things and where did they come from?
[His optics narrow slightly and he nudges one of the cards, reading it but it still doesn't make sense to him.
He's not up to date on Earth customs okay!]

Apparently they're given out to celebrate a holiday on Earth. It was on the news earlier.

[Predaking pauses as he focuses on the comm device, optics flickering in a curious and maybe almost shocked manner. The beast king is silent for a moment and when he does speak again, there's an odd, rumbling undertone to his voice.]
...requires such a thing?

[He shrugs.] I've never been to Earth, so I've never heard of such a holiday.
[He always thought so, he'd be flattered to know you think so to. ...But why are you suddenly looking at him like that.]

[Two things that Predaking had no experience with and yet he found himself wanting to learn; wanting to try his hand at it because never before had he felt so drawn to another being. Not even when he had discovered that two of his brethren had survived had he felt this sort of pull.]
