[video]

[The little drone is looking down on a rather beat up looking blue mech. His red faceplate is marred by a huge hole where his left optic should be. The mists are still fading around him. After a moment his limbs twitch, and then he's surging upright and to his feet with a roar.]

[He stops, completely shocked by his surroundings. He's among graves. Simple stones marked with names ranging from clearly Cybertronian to more Human. Turning a slow circle he spots the drone and frowns.]

What the scrap is going on here?

........[Hold on, he's going to fiddle with this drone and lock this feed.]

You coming into MECH's base for me. We were just leaving the access tunnel. [You hadn't even commented about calling back up yet.]

[......

And then he's suddenly punching a poor nearby wall or something solid.]

Good to know the Miasma likes to frag with my me too.

[Wow he sounds bitter. Really Miasma? REALLY?]

[He stiffens, glowering at the feed now.]

What's that supposed to mean?

[Sorry Breakdown, Bulk has issues with ~~everything~~the universe. It's not you, it's him.

By the way, the universe sucks.

He takes a few robot breaths to calm down for a moment. Cause getting pissed at Breakdown won't help. For once.]

Nothin', just slag I been dealin' with off and on for two years.

Where are you? You see a gateway anywhere nearby?

.........[He'll let it go. Not like they're buddy-buddy and all about opening up and sharing ~feelings~ or anything like that. ~~Not like they used to be.~~]

You mean the ground bridge with your name on it? Yeah, I'm by one.

[Yeah, that was a million years ago. Bulk's got new buddies to share feelings with, sorry Breakdown. And currently they're all cons/former cons. You'd be impressed.]

Yeah, that...I had nothin' to do with. [Not directly anyway.] What number is it?

[There's no answer cause he's suddenly cutting the feed.

WOW RUDE BULKHEAD.

But then the gateway's suddenly activating, and...out he steps. Accompanied by his own flying drone, and a small brown-green robotic firelizard perched on a paldron, who's peering at this big blue bot.]

Had to see you in person, make sure this ain't some trick.

[Breakdown scowls at the drone when Bulkhead suddenly hangs up, but then is turning to the ground bridge.]

You've seen such tricks before?

[Oh if you only knew.]

Yeah, that and a lot more in the two years I been on this Cybertron. This is about the third time I remember you showin' up.

Two years? [What the scrap are you talking about, he was beside you minutes ago!...before he found himself here anyway...]

Two years and three months. He puts up a hand at BD's shocked face.]

Time works differently here. [Obviously.] Plus, you're from a way earlier time then me.

[Shocked indeed! He’s gaping at Bulkhead.]

Breakdown...me bustin' ya out of MECH's base was over a year ago for me. Not counting the time I've spent here of course.

[Breakdown scowls and looks away. You liar! He...you...this can't be true...]

[He growls and looks away.]

This is messed up.

[Have you ever known him to lie to you? Wait, don't answer that.]

Yeah, cause you ain't been here. But you can ask anybody else in Haven and they'd tell ya the same thing. [He's really starting to hate having to explain time stuff to people. He stares back at the cemetery for a moment, focusing on a particular stone, before looking away.]

But let's get you to the medbay, so the docs can take care of your eye. [He starts to turn back to the gateway, and pauses.]

....oh yeah, and catch. [And he turns back long enough to throw a small metal object at him, not aggressively. Enjoy the eyepatch, Breakdown.]

That should help too. [Now he's turning back to punch in coordinates for the gateway.]

[Yyyyyyyeah, let’s not go there.]

[He scowls and refuses to look at Bulkhead while he works his head around this scrap.]

Right, fine....lead the way.

[He starts to follow only to stop, braced when Bulkhead turns and tosses something at him. He catches it on reflex and then is just...looking at the eye patch...]

[Good idea.

He's not looking, distracting himself with working the portal to open it.]

Should last ya a while, it's made outta good metal. [Was this maybe a small attempt at a peace offering? Who knows, but Knock Out's not here to do it, he figured he would. Even if he wasn't a medic. It's shaped perfectly to fit over Breakdown's injury. Course it's up to the other mech if he wants to use it, or get another optic.]

You got any questions?

[Since he’s not expecting a new optic...he...he’ll just hold onto that patch, eyeing Bulkhead’s back like he’s not sure what to expect...]

[Just...where to start?]

Whatever, I’ll ask questions later, just...get me to the medbay.

[This is just too surreal, he needs a chance to step away, okay? To think.]

[Breakdwn stares long enough, he might see the large double ended hammer hooked into Bulk's back plates, looking like it was designed to blend in with his armor. Color and all.]

Fine fine. [He waves a hand, and puts in the last few pushes before the portal blasts open once again.]

Come on, this'll take us right outside the medbay.

[He'll head back through the portal, and if Breakdown follows him...he was telling the truth, as the entrance to the medbay's not that far away.]

[He does note the hammer, wondering where it came from. Just one more question to add to the mix.]

[He grunts and follows, stepping through the ground bridge. He’s half expecting to find himself in the Autobot base, captured and taken prisoner, but at the same time he’s telling himself that’s ridiculous since they’re not even on Earth anymore.

[Nope, not the Autobot base, either of them, but into the city of Haven itself. With buildings, including one marked med-bay. There's also other people on the street. Human, Cybertronian, and otherwise. Some stop to stare at the newcomer, while others go on with their business.]

There's the med bay. After you're done, I'm sure somebody can point ya to where you can get a room.

[Breakdown studies Bulkhead a moment....and finally looks away.]

........Thanks.

[He nods.]

[Yeah, he did his bit, Breakdown probably doesn't want him around. So he's going to head off unless stopped.]

[He wasn’t sure what to feel about Bulkhead right now. His last memories were of the Autobot were of Bulkhead saving his life. He hoped that someone could come for him, that maybe Knock Out would find out where he was and dare to come for him, because he was...pretty sure Megatron wouldn’t. He’d even dared hope that maybe Prime would show up to the rescue, if only so MECH couldn’t use his parts to their own gain; that would have ended with him in a cell at the least, but at least he’d be alive. But Bulkhead was the absolute LAST person he expected to show up to help him. Right next to Megatron, if for different reasons.]

[So it wasn’t so much that he wanted Bulkhead to leave him alone - actually he wanted to talk, wanted to know why his rival had risked himself to pull his aft from the smelter - but that he didn’t know what to say.]

Yeah...see ya.

[And so he just stands there a long moment, watching Bulkhead as he leaves, worrying the eyepatch between two fingers. With a huff he’ll finally turn to head into the medbay...]
