[video]

[The little drone is looking down on a rather beat up looking blue mech. His red faceplate is marred by a huge hole where his left optic should be. The mists are still fading around him. After a moment his limbs twitch, and then he's surging upright and to his feet with a roar.]

[He stops, completely shocked by his surroundings. He's among graves. Simple stones marked with names ranging from clearly Cybertronian to more Human. Turning a slow circle he spots the drone and frowns.]

What the scrap is going on here?

Hell if I know. Something something, evil cloud, something something alien planet.

[Raiden was busy walking through mountainous ruins if the drone footage was anything to go by, a little gunky and not just from the Miasma.]

You all right?

[Well, when stuck on alien planets because evil cloud...]

[Such a roar was the last sound Sam expected to hear, wandering the southwest---with what she knew to be there, it had always seemed serene enough; safe, certainly. Consequently, it's more curiousity than concern that brings her to the burial ground from the edge of earshot, until she gets her first glimpse of the probable source of the shout. What---whatever happened, it wasn't good, and she doesn't need to see the mech's face to know.]

...Hey?

[He frowns at the drone.]

Who're you?

[Good job, Breakdown, just ignore the guy's question.]

[Breakdown spins around with a snarl and...pauses at the sight of a human. This one isn't in the same armor stuff as those from MECH, so he hesitates.]

What?

[Raiden rolled his eyes. Be that way, robot bro.]

Name's Raiden. Who're you?

Breakdown...

What are you? [Sorry, you look weird.]

[She stops as he turns to her, but just for a beat---long enough to reweigh her plan of approaching and decide to press on, long enough her eyes happen on the hole where one of his once was and she grimaces. Even as she picks a path past stones, slowing and then stopping at what's not quite a conversational (but a seemingly 'safe') distance, she stares.]

Shit.

That---ah, that looks like it hurts like hell.

[There's a question there, and concern.]

[It isn't like she can help. But Maya responds to the video anyway, because the man looks hurt. And in a graveyard. Did he come out of one of those graves? Could robots be zombies? Was that possible?]

Um... are you... all right?

[That was probably a better question to ask than if he was alive, right?]

[It...actually doesn't, but the fact that she's commenting on it has him frowning...in confusion.]

What about it?

[He starts to growl, but when he spots the face on the drone's screen he pauses.]

I'm fine.

[It's...not as much of a growl as he normally would have given.]

[Maya looked skeptical. And she bit her lip. Maybe arguing with the giant robot wasn't the best of ideas... but it couldn't be any worse then when Nick had argued with the parrot.]

You do know you have a big hole in your head... right?

[Maya Fey, Captain of the Obvious.]

Well, that, and it looks like it ought to be taken care of...? There's a hospital here, open to all comers; might be the only option. Can't say for sure, but it's your best bet---the one place there's bound to be somebody who can help.

[And she'll offer a shallow little shrug, uncertain.]

[Okay, now he's really studying this little human. Is she...really offering help?!]

You're...helping me?

I know that, human! [Oops, there's that growl. Sorry, Maya.]

What do you want? Do you know how I got here?

[Okay, that is definitely an Eep, and Maya takes a step or two back from the video screen.]

Doesn't it hurt?

[Once she had determined that the growly robot man wasn't going to leap through the video screen and stomp on her, she took a few deep breaths. This whole place was more than a little crazy. So he was new too? And apparently hadn't listened to his little robot buddy's little history lesson.]

The same way I did, I'd imagine. Through that nasty black-purple mist stuff.

[Offering help and apparently in earnest, although the exchange has been... a bit awkward. If she didn't already have the impression no-one here had heard what they were expecting to, that question would've cemented some suspicion.]

I'm meaning to try to? I can show you the way to the hospital, but that's about all I can do, since I don't know anything about patching up someone without skin.

[She shrugs again---this time, apologetically---before crossing her arms and looking down long enough to smooth the upturned edge of a shirt sleeve. A far cry from MECH's standard-issue armour, the shirt is just a simple tee; the cuffs can't quite come to and can't quite conceal the bars inked onto each arm.]

Breakdown.

[Wow, he probably looks, and sounds, about as neutral as Breakdown's ever heard him. This is some kind of freaky trade off of partners or something.]

Sorry to tell ya, you missed Knock Out.

They don't have cyborgs where you're from?

[Hey that is a new one.]

You look like you could use a medic. I'll send you the coordinates for the hospital if you'll accept them.

...Not right now, no. [he seems a little awkward answering that.]

[Nope. Nope he got up, and was answered by people. He's not had a chance to grill his drone for answers yet.]

Mist stuff? [He looks around but doesn't see any.

[He relaxes just kind of giving her a funny look.]

[After a moment he makes up his mind and takes a step towards her, reaching to scoop her into one large hand.]

[He jerks around to face the drone giving Bulkhead a wary and searching look.]

[Just missed...]

What do you mean? Where are we? [And why would Knock Out leave without him?]

...Not that I've ever heard of.

[Who knows what kind of weird stuff humans have managed to make, they kept to themselves.]

Didn't have any organic life where I originally came from.

[Have wary guardedness in return.]

This is Haven, a city on Cybertron. ...not our Cybertron, but another one.

What, like klatuu verata nikto or something?

[Shhhh someone is a nerd.]

So.. did you get the briefing from your flying roomba? We're not the only ones getting zapped around here.
