---right?
[If the tone is any indication, that one word wasn’t directed at anyone---it was the sort of mutter manuals muffle. What follows is livelier, as the young woman speaking seems hopeful.]
Right. I don’t want to be a bother, but I was wondering if there’s anyone available to give the ten-cent tour…. and if there’s anyone who would want to. Since ah, I’m not the only new arrival, and there’s sort of a lot to see, I figured I’d ask. If you’re new too, okay, awesome, we can explore together. If you’re not new and you want to show off your stomping grounds, I’ll ooh and ahh appreciatively. Promise. And I’ll owe you one.

My name is Wing, by the way. It's a pleasure to meet you.
I'd really, really appreciate that! I've been lost before, but this...
[She lifts her open hands in a shallow shrug, then snaps both shut. Past experience has nothing on any of this.]
...tops everything else.
I'm Sam, and it's nice to meet you, too.
Re: [Video]
Can you tell me what's around you? I'll come to you.
[With that, Wing's treated to a brief, blurry close-up of a handful of staves, though that's followed by a slow and even pan around Sam's immediate environment.]
Re: [Video => Action]
[He'll transform and shoot into the sky. He won't be but a few minutes before he's transforming again and landing lightly on his feet not too far from Sam. He'll go to a knee so he's not towering over her.]
Hello again.
[action from here on out]
[That's something else.]
Hi,
[There should maybe be more than that, and in a moment or in a minute there will be, but she's got to take some time to take the sight of the Cybertronian in---and it is to her credit that that time is only several seconds.]
[Dude's huge, but that isn't half of it. What arrests her attention (utterly, and for the better part of a breath) is the mech’s emotional atmosphere, clear as any corona she’s seen. That it’s there isn’t shocking (if she’s assumed anything, it’s ‘what sounds like a real person probably is’) but that it should be so like anyone else’s---]
Nice to meet you properly, and thanks for coming so quick.

My pleasure. [He'll put a hand down, palm up in offer.] I'm afraid I'm not designed with passengers in mind, but if you're willing, I can give you a higher perspective as we tour the city.
no subject
[There's some surprise at the offer, but it's short-lived, being almost immediately eclipsed by delight. The overall situation leaves a lot to be desired---like the long list of odd odds and ends she needs to try to write home---but this is alright. More than alright; this is kind of awesome.]
Okay! That'd be great.
[She starts readily (alright, at 'okay') for his hand, limping slightly but showing no sign of discomfort. Unwilling to trust her balance, she'll just sit on his palm; it's certainly spacious enough.]
Thank you.

I see that Wing has already contacted you. I'm relatively new as well - we arrived together, as did a handful of others - but I'd be happy to try to answer any questions you may have.
and Samantha Patchowski is enough of a kid in her heart of hearts to think that it's pretty cool, for all the problems tied to being 'here' and 'now.']Thank you! I'd say it's worth something.
First things first; who is it I've the pleasure of talking to?
[Salute!]
I am Deckard, of the Brave Police. Pleased to meet you.
[Surprised, she laughs a little, but has the good grace to at least sound apologetic in adding,]
I didn't even introduce myself before I asked.
[Which would've been the polite thing to do. Probably? Probably---she wouldn't've had the advantage then.]
Sam Patchowski. Pleasure's mine.
[Pleasure, and some small peace of mind because what d'you know: here, there is a cop if she needs one.]
Now that that's taken care of, is there anything I can help with?
[Really, she won't sweat it.]
Well. I think I know what I need to to fend for myself, and I'm getting a rough idea of what's where, so I'm going to ask: what do you think a person needs to, or really should know for a stay here?
Re: [Video]
[She shrugs, making a small, noncommittal noise.]
I'm going to invite anything you've got to add.

Late late late two weeks late / video
[ Someone's cooped herself up for the most of the time. ]
But I've been here long enough that perhaps I should know where things are.
Perhaps I could help?
[ Elsa half shrugs, she looks awfully tired, but still smiling nonetheless. ]
man my very plurk is britofthebacklogs
Hey! I'd love to have some company picking out a place to stay a little longer-term, since I haven't really settled anywhere as of yet. I've been told that any place that isn't already occupied is open to takers; would you like to come with, looking at apartments?
Boy oh boy
I wouldn't mind at all. I've never looked before, I've never needed to, so. It'll be a learning experience. I'm sure of it.
Excuse me, I'm...Elsa. It's very nice to meet you.

[Sam's surprise is audible; the odds of that are what, astronomical? Still, reigns her reaction in to actually introduce herself,
like a polite person.]I'm Sam. It's very nice to meet you, too!

[ She stops, rather nervous about continuing; that wasn't where she was going with that. ]
But that's hardly the matter, it's actually...quite difficult to explain.
[ No it wasn't; but she'd rather not scare off the person sized person first thing with her ice powers. She was just getting back into the swing of things, finally, after her loss of control earlier this month...she sighed. ]
Sam. [ Elsa nods with acknowledgment, her queen-like composure returning. Maybe she should try again to explain. ]
It's rather I can...sort of build my own place to live. It's much s---[ Not safer, she's trying not to hide anymore. ]---more convenient.
no subject
[Having once spent a couple of weeks helping a friend's family renovate--weeks with kitchen witches accustomed to concoctions, not construction--Sam cannot keep from wondering how building could be convenient: you can colour her intrigued.]
Would showing be simpler?
no subject
But I believe you're still on the lookout for somewhere to live.
Where could I possibly find you?
[ SUBJECT DIVERSION, GO. Elsa's still, really not all that comfortable divulging the details of her powers...rather, to showing them off in person. Perhaps after they'd met, the intricate ice gown would help give it away without a demonstration. ]
no subject
How does meeting at the gateway outside the Warehouse sound? Or...?
[It's an invitation, for any alternatives. Even if it's somewhere she hasn't been before, Sam's game---meeting someone to scale is exciting enough.]
I'm open.
