[The drone didn’t catch much of anything, metal, upholstery worn and battered by dust before there was a sudden, almost sickening flurry of movement, the drone hitting the pavement noisily, the view of the sky obscured by a dusty boot-print. There was a loud creaking as a door swung shut, a moment passing before there was the noise of an engine, more a guttural snarl than anything sleek and speedy. By the time the drone righted itself the vehicle had started moving again.
It had a good view at least, to see the rig. A burly-looking sand-blasted thing, all dark metal and sharp jagged edges, from bumper to bumper. More alarming than the sheer size and intimidating nature of the thing was the decorations. Crowded along particular points on the rig itself and the tank it pulled were skulls, gaping eye sockets and grinning often gap-tooth grins from the running boards and along the wheel-wells, and along the back bumper as it drove along down the street, leaving the drone in the dust.
Definitely not Avon calling.]
