[Most of the announcements Sam makes are pretty jovial in tone. This one... isn't. Sam looks (and sounds) tired, and maybe a little worried; unsurprising, with what happened only hours earlier.]

So, uh. I haven't been able to find my moose. Anybody want to help me look before we lose the light? He was last seen in the air west of the warehouse, and having gone over the ground that way... I'm left concluding he's either on top or at least partway in a building, elevation unknown. So, yeah. Any tall dudes or people more mobile than me? I'd really appreciate helping out here.

[When the doll comes into sight, Sam waves back. She moves to meet him, frowning a little as she looks him over. He looks like he's had a hell of a time... but Xan's aura is still bright and steady; although it has nothing like an organic's aura, in terms of what would or could reflect health, it seems okay.]

Righto, buddy. Sorry for your wait, and sorry it's going to be a bit before we have you fixed up. The first and last time I had to sew something here, I didn't even take the basket out of the Warehouse... but I think I know where I left it, on the off chance it's still there.

No problem. If it's not still there... well, we'll find or figure something.

[She shrugs as they set off, a short list of possibly-viable jury-rigs running through her mind. If they can't get a needle and thread in a reasonable amount of time, then what? A length of floss with one end tied very very tightly to a toothpick? It might work---the knit of the little golem looks like it might be loose enough---but how rude would it be to table?]

[For some time, Sam's quiet, too. After a while, though---and a few glances over at the little golem---she caves to her curiousity.]

Can I ask for the deets on what went down?

Deets? Oh! Details . . . well, I'm not entirely sure what's wrong with The Spine, but I think he's reliving some past trauma that's driven him made. He attacked me on sight - well, technically, I think he was after my drone. Something about it being a machine, I think. I fought him, but I couldn't do any damage to him without putting in more power than I'm willing to try. I didn't want to actually destroy him, and I didn't want to find out by accident how much damage he can take. So I finally had to back off and look for help. There are others going after him now. Hopefully, they'll be better able to handle him without killing him.

And on your end? I don't want to be rude---I mean, man, I already had my moment---but how did you fight him without coming out of it worse than whatcha did?

Not rude at all, it's okay. My shield, to start with. Plus I'm really small, so I'm that much harder to hit, and I'm quicker than I look when I need to be. I stayed out of reach or got too close for him to effectively use his saw or his energy cannon, and I kept hitting him with my power.

Y'know, this might not be my most sensitive moment, but...

[Sam stops walking, instead standing still to hold a hand up to Xan.]

High five? Cause that's pretty cool.

[Xan's caught a little off-guard, but he stands on his drone with a delighted laugh and plants his hand against the palm of Sam's.]

[Giving Xan a little nod to underscore her assertion, Sam starts walking again. It's a nice stroke of luck that they were able to meet up where they did, since it isn't long---despite the speed at which Sam walks---before they're at the Warehouse, with the skin-witch leading the way to where it was she left the little sewing basket she'd borrowed before.]

[If it's any consolation, she still walks faster than Xan does, so there's that?]

[And then the doll is gazing around in awe. This is like a Costco, IKEA, RadioShack, and a landfill all rolled into one.]

[There is that, and it's a little funny; for being on the small side of her social circle, Sam still towers over her flatemates---with the obvious exception of Bon Ron.]

Talk about a whack of stuff, right? Sorry if I take longer than anticipated to find where I was before.
