[backdated video]
[Most of the announcements Sam makes are pretty jovial in tone. This one... isn't. Sam looks (and sounds) tired, and maybe a little worried; unsurprising, with what happened only hours earlier.]
So, uh. I haven't been able to find my moose. Anybody want to help me look before we lose the light? He was last seen in the air west of the warehouse, and having gone over the ground that way... I'm left concluding he's either on top or at least partway in a building, elevation unknown. So, yeah. Any tall dudes or people more mobile than me? I'd really appreciate helping out here.

[Yeah, someone's looking a little worse for wear.]
Why was Bon Ron in the air?
[The conspicuous damage seems worse than it is, she knows, because it's all she's got to go off of---auras aren't visible over video, to her unending chagrin.]
The Spine threw him. Like he was goin' for the gold in discus. If the incident didn't involve individuals I like it would've been beautiful, but no, it was some BS.
What wringer did you go through? I mean, I got a guess, but...
Oh goodness. I'm sorry you and Bon Ron met The Spine while he's like that. It's not his fault, though! He's glitching really badly. I think he's stuck in some really terrible memories from a long time ago.
I tried to stop him, but I couldn't. Not without destroying him altogether. And he doesn't deserve that.
Anyway, I found my comm drone - [obviously, since he's speaking to her on it] - so I can help you look for Bon Ron.
[The drone she's using now? It's been borrowed.]
I couldn't agree more. Normally, The Spine is just one of the nicest people. And even with what was going on, I don't think he wanted to hurt anyone. It's not like there was malice there.
Right on. Where're you at?
[Actually, Xan's not 100% what PTSD /is/, exactly, but he can sense that it feels pretty right.]
I'm in the Hub a little east of the center. I was hoping to find a fabric store or maybe a tailoring shop.
[You know, someplace that would have replacement buttons and the like.]
[It feels like she's pawned this off, which feels, frankly, shitty, but the fact of the matter is Sam's got no idea what makes any mechanical Havener tick---at least, in terms of mechanisms.]
You want me to come help you look, and then you help me look, or...? I know we've got neither needle nor thread back at the apartment.

[Video] 2/2
[YEAH, THAT'S ELOQUENT. She'd explain better---explain that those button eyes never blipped on her radar, never read as active---but she's kinda caught up in feeling like a total, inexcusable tool.]
They don't blip, so I didn't think they actually did anything, and assumed, and oh, good god,
D'you have your missing button? D'you need that button, or is a replacement button okay?

It's okay, Sam! You didn't know. I can see okay. I guess it's just that I need to be whole to function properly.
of course i missed an html closure last tag
But, uh. Yeah; do we need to be finding that missing button first, or...? What's the scoop?

[Click!]
[It's a little while, waiting, but not ages until Sam's nearing her friend's location. Hers is an audible approach, what with her calling out hey, hull-LOOO coming up on the area.]
[ACTION FOREVER]
Here! I'm here!
[And he'll get the drone heading her way.]

Righto, buddy. Sorry for your wait, and sorry it's going to be a bit before we have you fixed up. The first and last time I had to sew something here, I didn't even take the basket out of the Warehouse... but I think I know where I left it, on the off chance it's still there.

[She shrugs as they set off, a short list of possibly-viable jury-rigs running through her mind. If they can't get a needle and thread in a reasonable amount of time, then what? A length of floss with one end tied very very tightly to a toothpick? It might work---the knit of the little golem looks like it might be loose enough---but how rude would it be to table?]

[The doll doesn't say more as it follow Sam where she leads.]

Can I ask for the deets on what went down?

[Sam stops walking, instead standing still to hold a hand up to Xan.]
High five? Cause that's pretty cool.

Thank you! I'm glad you think so.

[Giving Xan a little nod to underscore her assertion, Sam starts walking again. It's a nice stroke of luck that they were able to meet up where they did, since it isn't long---despite the speed at which Sam walks---before they're at the Warehouse, with the skin-witch leading the way to where it was she left the little sewing basket she'd borrowed before.]

[And then the doll is gazing around in awe. This is like a Costco, IKEA, RadioShack, and a landfill all rolled into one.]

Talk about a whack of stuff, right? Sorry if I take longer than anticipated to find where I was before.
