[Well that was unexpected. The dominantly purple mech had been shifted out of his jet form into bipedal mech. The mist wafted around him as he tried to get what bearings he could of his surroundings.]

Where in the world am I?

[This was obviously not Japan, let alone where he'd been before. Before he'd been patrolling in jet form after a culprit. He'd gone through a cloud and ended up here. A little drone rolled up to him and seemed to be looking up at him, which had him looking right back in wary confusion.]

My name is Shadowmaru, a member of the brave police. It is nice to meet you Sam, I'd be very grateful for any guidance considering...

[He looks around then back at the screen] I'm still not quite sure exactly where this 'Haven' is.

It's nice to meet you, too. And oh, buddy, I'm sorry to say that that first step is something else. You see... you, I, and Haven are on the planet Cybertron.

[The ninjamech seemed to stare a moment at her as he absorbed what she said, before he finally answered]

Cybertron... another planet?

[Well he'd met aliens so he shouldn't be to surprised, and he wasn't. He was more surprised how he got there]

Do you know how I even got here perhaps?

[So maybe he could figure out how to get home]

Fraid so. And I do... Sort of. You and I and everybody else around pretty much got pulled here through the Miasma, which is that unpleasant misty shit. It's... semi-tangible chaos, kinda, and bad juju through and through.

[The mech looked at the mist wafting in small mists near where he'd first appeared with a new found wariness]

I see. So there is no real way to get home?

[Looking back at the screen and at Sam]

Not as of yet. I'm sorry.

[The mech looks somewhat downtrodden at the revelation though it only really showed in his optics]

Where should I go from here?

[Needing a direction, and hopefully somewhere other then a flat land with miasma before it did anything else weird.]

Towards any big portal contraption you can spot. They might seem sketch-ass, but those are the Gateways. Not only are they safe, but they're the fastest way to get around here. Just a second, I'm gonna send you a map.

[BWIP! There's a file for the drone.]

I...see. [Sketchy seeming portals were somewhat concerning to hear, but he'd trust Sam on this. Not much really else he could do]

[Leaning forward to look at the smaller drone he carefully accessed the file, awkward in using another seemingly sentient machine instead of his work computer or having the file sent straight to him to access]

If I'm reading this map correctly I am not that far from a portal at least. This place is a lot larger then I presumed.

Yeah, it's got a lot of ground to cover; enough to make a person really appreciate a vehicle, or a vehicle mode. That said, most of the necessities are available at the Hub. You can find someplace to stay---there are some apartments sized for tall dudes such as yourself---and fuel, and possibly one of your comrades. I don't know where he is or what he's up to cause I haven't seen him in the longest time, but there's been another Brave Police person here. Gunmax?

[The mech gives a slightly lopsided grin in amusement.]

Thankfully I have plenty of modes to help me with that at least. But the portal seems to be the best bet at the moment.

[Shadowmaru seems to pause in surprise]

Is, or at least has been. Seems people sometimes get sucked back to where they're "supposed" to be, same way they're stranded here, and man... it's been so long I'm not sure as to his status. Someone else might know better than me---I'd try asking one of the Guardians. Maybe Paian? He's at the hospital. Rathan might be an option, too.

[Odds are the dragon knows some form of scrying, given his magical inclinations and advanced age. Sam's not sure she should suggest a third option, even if the Guardian she's got in mind is the most likely to know what's become of Gunmax; pointing the new guy at the grim reaper seems kinda cold.]

[He actually has to take a moment to organize how he's going to list it. He usually shows off in person so verbalizing it just seems so...less cool]

I have a police interceptor mode, jet form, tank form, and a wolf form.

[He would argue he was a wolf until the day he off-lines]

Hrm... [that could be worth some investigating then if that was a remote possibility, the unknown of Gunmax got a curious look]

I'll have to do that, it would be good to connect with a team mate if possible.

[Even if it was the highway patrol-mech. Yeah being sent to the Grim Reaper first day might be a bit much for the ninja. Maybe later when he adapts that strange things run amuck]

Four alt modes? Damn! That's cool; Hiro is probably going to flip and beg to get a good look at you. I'm gonna apologize for him in advance; kid's very enthusiastic and probably going to climb to your shoulder without so much as a by-your-leave---but he's a good kid, which is why I'm apologizing on his behalf.

If I hear anything on Gunmax, I'll let you know; I can ask around a little, no problem.

[He paused, well it could be worse really.Long as he didn't come at him with tools to try and take him apart he wouldn't mind. Shadowmaru had no shame in showing off if asked nicely]

Eh, it's iffy. He's excitable enough he might only think to introduce himself once he's at your shoulder. Look out for a skinny little dude with a mess of black hair, tell 'em I warned you about him, and it'll be alright.

[Despite Hiro's history of being very frank and forward when he wants to know what makes someone work, he's no menace---until/unless an experiment goes awry.]
