Having now completed a couple years of it, I'm now pretty sure everyone under a hundred is improvising this 'real adult' stuff. And as for the rest of you? [She grins a crooked little grin, pointing at the camera with a cherry stem.] I've got some suspicions still.

[The broadcast would end there---and does, briefly---but the network's treated to Hiro hijacking Sam's drone to properly inform other Haveners.]

Hey, so, uh, what Sam means is that it's her birthday and she's just being cryptic. So, y'know. Don't let her forget it.

We don't really think of age in the same sort of way an organic species would, so really, no offense taken.

Over prepared, even. I don't know too many people who are quite as quick witted as you. It's rather impressive for someone with a brain made of meat.

I'd hope the specification would not be necessary, but y'know, I'll take 'impressive' overall. As strange as I'm sure it seems to someone with circuits, the human nervous system is not inefficient. Other body systems are another matter entirely---I'll say before you start!---but we've got that going for us.

Oh, I've poked around in a human or two... well, just one, but I must say, your people are probably one of the most complex organic species I've ever had the pleasure to study. When I say impressive, I really do mean it.

I can't say I'm entirely familiar with this whole human birthday thing, but I don't see any harm in taking a request.
