[accidental video]
[It's been a few days since the end of the explosions that have been following him and others throughout the place. Jetstorm wasn't alone during that time, not entirely, but now that it's over, he's getting time to think about what all has happened. Who he was left with, the world he finds himself in now, the idea that they could all find themselves under attack again at any time, for any or no reason at all.]
I am a warrior.
[Where he is now isn't clear, but by the absence of sound in the room but for what Jetstorm himself makes, it's clear he's alone. If his feet could wear a path in the ground walking the same circle over and over, they would. There is no indication for how long he has been walking like this, one end of his nunchucks in each hand as if he thought he might need it. He seems fretful as he argues with himself, and completely oblivious to the little drone close by, silently recording everything.]
I am strong. I am swift.
[His hands lower and he doesn't seem to notice it or care. One hand lets go of a grip to reach up and rub down his face. A few paces later, his other hand goes a little too slack and his weapon goes down to the ground with a clatter. The Minicon looks down at it in horror with a cry.]
Ah! No!
[In a rush, he darts down to retrieve his nunchucks and clutches them in front of him again, grip renewed. One hand pulls into his subspace to retrieve the only other item he has ever carried on his person: a cleaning cloth. With a whimper, he steps over to sit down on a small stool that may or may not have been for a bot his size, or perhaps for a human, and begins to methodically wipe down his weapon from one end to the other, always in small, counter clockwise circles.]
Most humble apologies, Master Drift.
[But his fingers are trembling. He misses spots, only to go back and work over them again.]
I am strong... I am...
[Finally, he gives in and hugs his knees to himself, pinning his nunchucks against him, and shivers.]

Master Drift has been my sensei for quite some time, but he is not here. The Drift you may be thinking of is not the one I know.
[Like the whole having no nose bit for one.]
I take it you're new around here? What's your name?
I have noticed that about many of the bots here. We really are from different universes.
I am Jetstorm. What may I call you?
Re: [video]
Yep. You get used to it after awhile. Well, mostly anyway.
[The little bot's name makes Jade quirk an optic ridge.]
Jadewing. Though how'd you get a name like Jetstorm? You don't look like a jet.
[And Jade would know, given that it's pretty obvious that's what he turns into.]
[He lowers his head, wondering over that not for the first time. At least Jadewing has something to match him.]
I have wondered that as well. I cannot fly; I do not even have a mobile alternate mode, and I do not create storms.
Re: [video]
Who gave it to you? Maybe you could ask them. Since I'm guessing you didn't come up with it yourself, if even you don't get it.
No one gave me this designation. I awoke with it. I simply knew. I do not know why it was this name.
Re: [video]
[Jadewing thinks about this a moment.]
The only bots I've ever heard of who knew their names from the moment they came online were the ones that were sparked directly from Vector Sigma. And I mean directly, as in standing right there in Vector Sigma's chamber underground. Was that the case for you too?

Re: [video]
[Jadewing is clearly not as impressed by 'Optimus Prime things' as some might be.]
Still, it's interesting. My Cybertron never had a 'Well'. There were and are a few methods for sparking new shells, but the most common was Vector Sigma, until it shut down a couple million years into the war. No one's sure exactly why or how, though there were rumors. It wasn't reactivated until millions of years later, when Megatron needed to spark the Stunticons.

[But that alternate method sounds interesting to him enough as well.]
Did it also require sacrifice to be made? I hope not. We would hear so often that our numbers were so few, we could not bear another loss.

Not sure how the Autobots got the Aerialbots sparked though, since Megatron still had the Key.

Do you think it may exist here?

Not that I'd really be too interested in going underground anyway, barring an emergency.

I do not think I would be interested in it either.

I would like to stay away from it for now... if I can. Only, I wish there was more that could be done about it, if it comes back. Or when. What can I do?
no subject
That sorta depends on how it manifests. Sometimes it's stuff you can fight directly, and sometimes not.
But if I've learned one thing it's that you don't pick up anything it leaves behind, no matter how innocent it might seem.

I did not realize it could do this. But I will take that advice. Thank you. I suppose, then, that it cannot be analyzed for us to better understand and fight it.
