[accidental video]
[It's been a few days since the end of the explosions that have been following him and others throughout the place. Jetstorm wasn't alone during that time, not entirely, but now that it's over, he's getting time to think about what all has happened. Who he was left with, the world he finds himself in now, the idea that they could all find themselves under attack again at any time, for any or no reason at all.]
I am a warrior.
[Where he is now isn't clear, but by the absence of sound in the room but for what Jetstorm himself makes, it's clear he's alone. If his feet could wear a path in the ground walking the same circle over and over, they would. There is no indication for how long he has been walking like this, one end of his nunchucks in each hand as if he thought he might need it. He seems fretful as he argues with himself, and completely oblivious to the little drone close by, silently recording everything.]
I am strong. I am swift.
[His hands lower and he doesn't seem to notice it or care. One hand lets go of a grip to reach up and rub down his face. A few paces later, his other hand goes a little too slack and his weapon goes down to the ground with a clatter. The Minicon looks down at it in horror with a cry.]
Ah! No!
[In a rush, he darts down to retrieve his nunchucks and clutches them in front of him again, grip renewed. One hand pulls into his subspace to retrieve the only other item he has ever carried on his person: a cleaning cloth. With a whimper, he steps over to sit down on a small stool that may or may not have been for a bot his size, or perhaps for a human, and begins to methodically wipe down his weapon from one end to the other, always in small, counter clockwise circles.]
Most humble apologies, Master Drift.
[But his fingers are trembling. He misses spots, only to go back and work over them again.]
I am strong... I am...
[Finally, he gives in and hugs his knees to himself, pinning his nunchucks against him, and shivers.]

[...but you look the way she felt when her first and last hope for actually contacting home cratered.]
Would you like to talk a while?
I do not know what to talk about. What would you like to talk about?
...though I do know I would've done poorly.
A warrior does not forget the good graces of others, but I hope not to make a nuisance of myself. I know not where my boundaries lie in this world [which is part of the reason he's here at all to be honest], but I trust it will not take long for me to learn.
How long have you been here?
If it makes you feel any better, a lot of us seem to be improvising as we figure out some sort of etiquette for the strange situations we now need to navigate. For the most part we seem to get by by meaning well and muddling through.
[She stops to think about that for a moment.]
Better part of a year, though it... really doesn't feel that way. Actual tally's somewhere around or just over seven months.
It is encouraging to know I am not alone here and that others have been in this situation before, but I am not the only bot here with problems. I just need time to sort myself and I will be alright.
[blink... That's a long time, for what it's worth, even to him.]
Then you are certainly no stranger to life here.
[There's a crooked little smile accompanying the comment. She's an adult, sure, but being only twenty-two and often among beings millions of years old, she's resigned to being counted among the kids from here on out.]
But Haven, I have gotten used to.
Not precisely. Even one Earth year is enough to familiarize yourself with an area. [He would mention the specifics on how he knows that, but he doesn't really feel like going back into that line of thinking right now.]
You tease Breakdown about his age? [Let him think on that, because at some point in time, these two are beating down on each other, or something sommat probably before this convo.]

Dirge is kind of awful. And also an ass.
[Also, give him a minute to process that term.]
Ah, he resembles an Earth mule. I will keep watch for him, then.
[Oh! But Sam manages to stay straight-faced, since this misunderstanding is on her.]
Oh, I'm sorry---lemme clarify! Dirge is actually a Seeker, but I call him an ass in the sense he's a disagreeable person. A very disagreeable person. Tried to murder me once.
[He did back on Earth, anyway. Oh, and isn't that just lovely. They have a killer in their midst, as if things weren't rough enough for them without.]
Why would he want to do something like that? That is a terrible thing to do!
[Sam shrugs.]
In part, because he thought it would be easier. But to actually answer... Dirge is a very enthusiastic omnivore, willing to eat absolutely anything, and had once wondered if farming humans would be feasible. I told him that that was just an awful idea to be ruled right out and tried to explain why, he got all testy and said he'd eat whatever he wanted to, I told him that if that included people I would give him all kinds of grief, and the situation sort of snowballed.
[locked]
I now have him more or less muzzled, but you'll still wanna wary of him.
[And then the rest of that and... he visibly shudders. And continues that lock]
He should not even be able to process organic matter. Has he gone insane?
[locked]
Somehow he does, though, in addition to ordinary energon and other stuff like chunks of metal. And I'm not saying anything on his sanity.
[locked video from here on out]
