[video | Open to action in the Hospital]
[Knock Out is in the hospital, in the middle or organizing the mess he found himself in all of sudden.]
In case anybody is having funny ideas: No I did nothing to the other organic medic. If he left, either it was on his own accord or someone forced him to do so. You all should be ashamed for making such assumptions.
[No one’s actually voicing said assumptions to the giant robot that seems to be the only medic available in the medic but Knock Out knows better. He’s also concerned that people might be questioning his abilities and newfound decency.]
Has anybody discovered what caused the explosion? I have a lot of injured patients now and no proper medical staff.
[That might not be completely true. There are other people in the hospital trying to help the injured but Knockout doesn't know them nor he trust theme and it makes him irritable.]

Anyway, I'm out at the explosion site. Triage has been done an' there's a lotta work ta do. You know organic medicine or just Cybertronian? [Not a judgment, just asking for information.] Nevermind - there's plenty of nurses an' medi-drones, be sure ta make use of 'em. An' . . . thanks for takin' over in Paian's absence. Doubt anyone's accusin' ya, though - he's not the first of us ta go missin'. There may be at least three of us - Paian's four, now.
Soon as I clear the wounded an' dead, if any, an' get 'em all sent over ta the hospital, I'll be joinin' the investigation into the explosion itself. I'll make a report on the network as soon as I know anythin'.
I'm better at Cybertronian medicine for obvious reasons but I know both, I learned a lot about human biology this last year. Did YOU cause the explosion?
[He wouldn't put it past Wheeljack. But this Wheeljack is more polite too and the doctor seems to relax.] The drones have been really useful, yes. Who are the other four?
That's good to know. You are the Police Chief here or something?
[The mech's optics darken with a flat look at the initial insult, but he holds his silence until the other finishes. Because, really, he's too old and has too much to do to bother with petty slag like that.]
That'd be because I'm not the Wheeljack you used ta know. An' no, wasn't anywhere near here. [His optics darken further in a more earnest frown, gaze falling away a bit so it's not /at/ Knock Out.] I can't yet rule out it wasn't somethin' I built at some point or other, though it blowin' now would mean someone wasn't handlin' it like they were slaggin' told.
Nope, not the Police Chief, but I am the Chief Engineer for the city, an' one of the Guardians. Won't be gettin' in the police's way, but whatever's goin' on, especially if it was mechanically caused, is at least partly in my jurisdiction.
I should be used to weird things like this happening, I saw it before. My bad then, Wheeljack. You can put down the mask, though, I won't bite. [he really believes the mask is removable, like it happens with his Wheeljack and Optimus.]
Who would do something like that? Please tell me there's no start of a revolution going on in here, I had enough the first time.
Ah . . . right. It's actually not a battle mask, if that's what you're thinkin'. It's just a faceplate.
[In other words, that IS his face. The bands /do/ fold down over each other, but all they expose is a fuel intake and speakers for his vocalizer. He doesn't have a mouth like other mechs. It's a long story - he'll tell you some time if you ask him.]
But anyway, no . . . doubt it's some kinda revolution. Probably just a failure in a gas main or somethin'. Could have been deliberate too, but if so, I'd guess there weren't more than one or two fraggers behind it causin' mayhem for whatever reason. Pit, there's really nothin' ta revolt against here.
[Knock Out will ask, be sure of that.]
Are you sure this wasn't deliberate to distract you from sometime else? [He knows how baddies think. He's been one.]
Re: [Video]
Eh . . . [He fingers the side of the facebands, gaze dropping for an instant before looking back up.] We'll talk later. Thanks for the offer, though.
[He cycles air in a sigh from his vents.]
An' no, actually . . . I'm not at all sure. Just that I don't wanna jump ta conclusions an' maybe be wrong. Ya blind yourself to possibilities when ya start thinkin' ya know what happened before ya really do. It's definitely somethin' ta keep in mind, though.
