Hey, everyone, it's Drift. Um, something's... come up? I guess? It's probably not a huge deal, but uh...

[He sounds juuuuust a bit out of it, y'know like in the way someone who is terrified out of their mind might sound while trying to play it super cool at the same time. Man he is trying so hard to sound completely unbothered right now.]

Ah, well, the place Wing and I are staying is kind of completely surrounded by restless spirits. Is there a way to shoo them off, or are the angry souls of the prematurely departed now a permanent fixture here?

It's mostly vague, but... I mean, a couple of them I recognize pretty well. They were Autobots back when I was-

[Sure enough his engine roars outside and he's transforming to drop down behind the spirits. He...braces himself and heads for the door. They all ignore him, like he's not even then. He manages to slip in without any coming in behind him.]

Drift?

[OH GOOD Drift IMMEDIATELY latches onto his arms and kind of tugs him away from the door Y'KNOW AS IF THAT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.]

Wing, I think I killed them. I think I killed all of them.

[don't mind the way his hands are shaking dude that kind of happens when your past is literally haunting you. So spooky.]

[Wing grips Drift's arms in return....and his spark breaks.]

During the war? When you were still a Decepticon?

[Sorry Wing Drift's kind of having a small panic THIS IS A LITTLE FREAKY]

I think so. I'm pretty sure. I mean, where else would they be from?

[Shakes his head.] It doesn’t matter where they’re from anymore. We’ll figure out a way to get them to go away.

Of course it matters! That's kind of the biggest part that matters! Can't you see what's going on? I'm being punished!

[Don't mind him he's just gonna back up a bit and start pacing]

[He shakes his head and goes after Drift, trying to grab and hold him.] It doesn’t matter. Drift, it’s past. What matters now is figuring out how to make them go away.

[He’s just gonna haul you into a hug now, okay?!]

[VERY WELL HUGS ARE ACCEPTABLE. Drift just makes the most unsure little noise ever and smooshes his face into Wing's shoulder.]

Okay, okay, I... okay.

[There there. That's right. Just cling, okay?]

We'll figure this out, together, okay?

[Oh drift is clinging he is very good at this]

I know, Wing. Thanks.

[He plants a kiss to the side of Drift’s helm.] I’m always here for you.

[Arms still around Drift he leads the other into another area of their house, somewhere away from any windows.]

Did you recognize anyone out there?

I never exactly stopped to ask for their names before I killed them, but I know their faces.

[Wing nodded and found himself looking at the door, expression thoughtful.] They must be here for a reason, maybe we can find out what that reason is...

Wait here... [He lets go of Drift and starts for the door to go back to the outer room.]

[DRIFT LOOKS REALLY APPREHENSIVE ABOUT THIS WHERE ARE YOU GOINNNNGGGGG]

Uh. Y-yeah. Okay.

[He slips out the door and............a few minutes later he steps back in, careful to not let any in...not that he's entirely sure the door will stop them if they decide they really want in.]

[Drift is just staring dude he is STARING SO HARD]

Uh, what... were you even doing?

Seeing I could get them to respond to me, talk to me. They... [he looks at the door.] It's like I'm not even here. They don't seem to be aware of me at all... [Just Drift.]

Ooookay. Looks like I'll just have to figure it out on my one, then.

[Though the fact that Wing made it in and out okay helps Drift relax a little. They're creepy, but apparently not dangerous.]

You may be the only one who can interact with them, but you’re not alone. I’m with you, and I’ll stay with you, no matter what.
