GHOST EVENT BACKDATED [AUDIO]

Hey, everyone, it's Drift. Um, something's... come up? I guess? It's probably not a huge deal, but uh...

[He sounds juuuuust a bit out of it, y'know like in the way someone who is terrified out of their mind might sound while trying to play it super cool at the same time. Man he is trying so hard to sound completely unbothered right now.]

Ah, well, the place Wing and I are staying is kind of completely surrounded by restless spirits. Is there a way to shoo them off, or are the angry souls of the prematurely departed now a permanent fixture here?

Thank you.

[Sam plunks herself down on that hand, having had more than enough of trying to match pace. This? This cuts down on the awkward for everyone.]

Salt's that way. [She'll point. Go west left, young mech!] When I was in earlier, I was surprised by how much they've got in stock despite the perpetual summertime.

I'm not going to drag logic into it; I know better than that. I was just surprised, since nobody's salting streets. Permanent summer is something I can get behind.

[...except during the month of December. Without snow, it's going to be too strange.]

Apparently!

In the winter, and the spring, and the fall... but ug, I can only imagine the headache dealing with it would be for you tall dudes. Ditto winter weather generally; that sorta sucks for everybody.

For pretty to look at, did you ever see sundogs? They usually look like vertical rainbows, or smaller extra suns, but the most monstrous ones will form complete rings around the sun.

And I gotta agree---snow's fun when you're sledding or skidooing, but to drive? Not so much.

Oh, give me just a minute...!

[Sam waves her drone over and starts takking at at, talking the while.]

I was lucky enough to have my phone on me when I was pulled here, and since I had everything on it backed up onto P.T. here, I can send you...

[Ping! Ping!]

...some sundog examples. You're out of luck for the Northern lights, though, and I'm sorry to say it. They really are something.

And skidooing---I don't know if you've ever seen that thing I drive around? It's a modified skidoo. They're normally a little like a motorcycle body and handlebar with a pair of skis where the front wheel would be, and a tread under the body back to where the rear wheel would be.

[That reaction was better than any expected; Sam laughs, delighted herself.]

I think it's because they look like little companion suns 'dogging' the real sun? Maybe? I don't really know, but I do know that they're supposed to signify colder weather on the way.

Really? Who?
