She taps the screen and holds it to her ear without saying hello, frowning. After a moment, she lowers the phone a little, and calls to someone---presumably Hiro---off-screen.]

More or less. Startled the hell out of me the first time my phone went off, though. Carrier's coverage was spotty in valleys on Earth, so you can imagine my surprise hearing Who The Hell cut in outta the blue.

Didn't catch enough to identify anything, and while I'm not sure I'd say it's really working... it is Earth tech, yeah, and I haven't been able to use it for anything except data storage and the Tonara knockoff on it since arriving.
