Hey, Breakdown.
[Sam's tone is one he's heard before---the once before, when Knock Out arrived and no-one yet knew whether he was real or another imposter; serious and slightly apologetic.]
I'm sorry to be sort of springing this on you, but I have something important to ask.

Yeah? What is it?

Do you know who killed you in Knock Out's timeline?
no subject
Yeah, why?

......Her name’s Airachnid. Skinny little spider femme, alt is a helicopter. She’d be pretty hard to miss if you saw her.

[That's enough, and 'enough' is all she's after. Sam's tone shifts nearer to normal, though she's still serious.]
Thank you, Breakdown. Actually asking, I figured, would be and by far the lesser of two evils, and although I could've tried asking Knock Out, I'd like to level with you. Since it is you this is about. I finally got a ward up on my place, and I thought: while I'm seeing to security... So, like I said, I'd like to level. What I'll say next, I'm not a hundred percent sure how you'll take, but I'm saying it as your friend. Okay?

[The Decepticon in him, the Decepticon he’d been for so long wanted to snarl at her that he wasn’t a friend of some squishy human....but there was no war here, and he’d enjoyed his interaction with Sam. She was fun...was she really a friend?]
[He finally gives a little nod.] I’m listening.
[Just gonna play it cool while he tries to determine how he feels about being claimed as a friend...]

[Oh, you big dope, just ask.]
....I really mean that much to you? [There’s a clear “why” in there.]

So what are you planning if Airachnid shows up, huh? [Don’t be stupid and get yourself killed, okay, kid?]
no subject
[Sam's voice is level and sure, as this matter is only a matter of fact insofar as she's concerned.]
I won't be able to do anything to her alt, because I won't know what to target, because it's so hard to tell what you guys see with when you're in your alts. But I can blind the eyes in her face, and if you have a fight on your hands, that's what I am going to do.

...Glad to be considered a friend, though. Thanks, Sam. [Means a lot to him, really does.]
no subject
[She sounds as if she's smiling, now, but she's not kidding with the question; her plan is pretty practical.]
Glad to count you among mine. You don't have to thank me, but you're welcome anyway.
no subject
[He smirks. Take it as a compliment, Sam, he’s impressed.]

Trophies. That's fucked up. But it ultimately does not change a damn thing; I'm already in. And I have an advantage.
Knowing really is half the battle, if adepts are involved---knowing what's happening, how, and cause of who. That last item could be a cause of concern with Dirge runnin' his mouth and the way word gets around, but one; spoiling is subtle. Two; anything which was clearly my witching would be end-game sorta stuff. Three; what I'd need to do, I'd do at a safe distance. And I am taking some exception to this... chick. So, y'know, I think I'm really rather reasonable but'll still say thanks.

Souring her luck would be a bit more complicated because there are actual things involved, but the only potentially troublesome one would be her footprint. I'd need to know the length.
