[Breakdown’s drone betrays him, turning on to show him by a pot at the end of a rainbow...there’s a little man...creature...thing in one large hand and they seem to be talking. The drone is too far away to pick up what they’re saying, though.]

[But then a smaller red Cybertronian steps into view, seeming to step from behind the drone.]

Breakdown! Where the scrap are we?

[Breakdown jumps!, dropping the creature as he turns to look at the speeker.]

Knock Out! [He gapes a moment....and then smiles] Ha! It worked! It actually worked!

[Knock Out looks irritated as he steps up to glower up at Breakdown.]

What worked? You’re making no sense!

[Even with Knock Out clearly upset with him, Breakdown can’t get the grin off his face.]

Nothin’, don’t worry about it. You’re on Cybertron now...

[Never even noticing that his drone is recording, Breakdown slips an arm around Knock Out’s shoulders and starts to lead him away, clearly explaining what’s going on to the smaller red mech. The drone bobs a moment before following after, cutting the feed before getting close enough to overhear again.]

((ooc: Blue is Breakdown and Red is Knock Out. Obviously Knock Out is the product of a wish made. Poor Breakdown is going to be so mad when this turns bad next week. ;-;))

[Yep, trying to get his attention. Doesn't care that the mech probably wouldn't recognize him - right now, all he knows is he wants to see /his/ friend again too!]

[Knock Out stops to give the drone an odd look. Not a voice he knows and yet the guy knows his name.]

Yes? [Wary.]

[Breakdown pauses to let Knock Out say hi to the Seeker.]

I...

[For as long as he's been around Haven now, for as many people have come and gone, this is the first time someone has returned who wasn't the same as before. And he's at a loss for words.]

...n-nothing.

[He scowls, looking away.]

Nothing, never mind.

[Primus, this hurts more than he expected.]

Breakdown's a good mech, but still new here. If either of you need anything, let me know.

[Knock Out gives TC a smile, that might just be a hint flirtatious.] Why that’s very generous of you, big guy. Would make it easier to call you if I knew your name.

[If Breakdown is bothered by Knock Out’s apparent flirting, he doesn’t show it. Actually, he’s got a little smile on his face....though he’s also glancing a questioning look at TC...you okay, bro?]

Thundercracker. Good to meet you. [Again.]

[And no…not really.]

[Knock Out gives him a searching look.] If I didn’t know any better, I’d say I’d disappointed you somehow.

[Breakdown steps up, a hand on Knock Out’s shoulder so he can lean in closer to his drone.] You okay, TC?

[Is this because Knock Out’s been here before? Breakdown was told about that...]

[Might as well break it to the mech. He'll find out sooner or later.]

This place draws people from different times, places, even universes. Which means it's possible for people from alternate realities to pass through here.

You've been here before. Or at least an alternate version of you.

[His gaze flicks to Breakdown. He doesn't reply, but . . . that look might be enough.]

[Knock Out looks shocked, and even turns a look on Breakdown, is this guy serious? Breakdown nods.]

I wasn’t here then, but it’s true.

Well, doesn’t that make things interesting. [He looks back at Thundercracker.] And I take it we used to be...friends?

[That gets a small, wry grin . . . and a nod.]

Neither of us would have used the term, but . . . yeah. You’re the first medic I’ve trusted for anything in a long time.

[“You’re the one who removed the brands from my wings for me”, but he’s…not going to go into that. Certainly not yet, like this.]

[Breakdown snerks. Knock Out...you've said yourself you're better at taking them apart than putting them back together...but he'll not argue. Knock Out, does know what he's doing.]

You got your partner here! That's great!

[It is, too. She can't see any auras since they aren't speaking in person, but Breakdown's tone alone tells her enough, and she's happy for him.]

Hi, Knock Out.

[Breakdown...actually flinches a little, turning to face Sam. Knock Out turns to look at the drone too and frowns.]

And who’re you?

That’s uh...that’s Sam.

[Knock Out gives Breakdown a look...a rather withering look.] Befriending humans now, are we?

[Breakdown....looks something between guilty and defensive.] Didn’t see a reason not to. No one’s at war here.

[Knock Out turns his attention back to Sam, studying her, appraising.] Hm...I guess I should say hello then, shouldn’t I?

[That's a cooler reception than anticipated... and the exchange is enough to make her wish she could read auras over a video feed all anew. Still, she'll take it in stride and be unbothered by the appraisal.]

I do believe it's the done thing.

[Knock Out smirks, seeming amused, and that smirk slides into a winning grin.] Then it’s a pleasure...Sam, was it?

[Breakdown actually frowns at little. He...expected to have to really talk Knock Out into accepting that the humans here were all right. Not that Knock Out was likely to go out of his way to hurt anyone, but he didn’t expect his partner to just play nice just because Breakdown said there was no war.]

How long have you known Breakdown, Sam?

[She nods affirmation, though she does note the little frown on Breakdown's face. It's... not what she would've expected, and raises quite a few questions she isn't in a position to actually ask. Still; no reason to cut the conversation short.]

Couple of months and change.

[Knock Out notices the look too.] What? I can be friendly if that’s the way it is here.

[Breakdown actually seems to blush, not that his face changes color or anything, just the body language says as much.] I didn’t say you couldn’t be...just...wasn’t expecting you to accept this so fast is all.

[Knock Out shrugs, and the grin he gives Breakdown could only be call flirtatious.] It’s been so long since I’ve seen you, I didn’t want to start an argument over something as small as this.

[This puts a little smile on Breakdown’s face, and Knock Out turns back to Sam.] I do apologize for that, Sam. [He gives a little bit of a bow, a clawed hand to his chest.] A few months you said? Hmm...doesn’t...quite fit with how long it’s been since I’ve seen him...

Time works different here. I’ll explain it all, promise.

Apology accepted! Free pass for your first five minutes seems... just sporting.

['No harm, no foul,' is as applicable now as ever.]

I'm taking it it was a while? Time's weird, here---all over the board, with some people's presents set centuries apart. But I should probably let Breakdown get to his explanation,huh?

Not as long as that. [He's still eying Breakdown.] It does sounds like he's got some explaining.

[Breakdown shrugs, unconcerned.] I'll catch you up on everything.
