[Guess who's been buried to the vocal indicator flanges with work for the past month.  The city's Chief Engineer has been working with his fellow Guardians to investigate what the hell Galos was up to - and how it got past them to even suspect what was really happening - and how to prevent it in the future.  And...other things, but he'd have to be specifically asked about that, because OY so not fun.  Plus overseeing the rebuild of the apartments and other structures that were damaged in that blast a while back and replacing victims' comm drones and other service drones.  He's been one busy mechanic.]

[And it's a little audible in his voice when he finally shows himself on the network.  But at least he waited till he'd gotten two full rest-cycles to recover before doing this?]

'Afternoon, Haven.  In case anyone doesn't know me, my name's Wheeljack.  I'm one'a the Guardians of the city as well as the Chief Engineer.  An' before anyone says it . . . no, just because I touch it doesn't mean it'll blow up.  That's just my experimental stuff.  Anyway, my shop's been closed for some time - for obvious reasons - but I'm lettin' people know now that I'm open again.  Most repair work can be handled by the Mr. Fix-It shop on the other side of the Hub, but if they send ya my way, I can take it now.  Also if you've got mods or other ideas you'd like ta have built, come see me an' we'll talk.  No guarantees I'll do it, as always, but we can talk.

[This is a part of the Warehouse she hadn’t even come close to approaching in her own explorations, so (even immediately upon entering,) the adept does her level best to look at everything. There’s… rather a lot to look at.]

[It's definitely a lot to look at! At first, things seem haphazard, but upon closer inspection one might realize that there is in fact a method to the madness, as it were. For example, this section - further back can be viewed the FAR large forms of Cybertronian transports while closer are the more humanoid-sized vehicles, with obvious land-based things (anything sporting wheels or treads) over here and things with rounder bottoms (such as for water or maybe even anti-grav units) over that way. Wheeljack started for the more land-based vehicles, thouugh he'd not stop Sam from exploring whatever caught her eye for now.]

[Quite a few things warranted an interested eyeing, and several others (like the pink Power Wheels, or the jeep bearing a familiar red-and-black bone logo) a soft snort, but the first to prompt a real remark...?]

[Bulkhead didn't respond to Wheeljack's message, even if he got it. It was still a little bit of a sore spot for him. He could keep avoiding him, right? He has been spying on one of his projects, however.

Particularly the rebuilding of the apartment buildings. Watching the workers(or drones) work with the critical eye of somebody that knows construction well. Watching how they work, how they're rebuilding the buildings. Always out of the way, and where he can just lean on a wall and watch. Ignoring the itch in him to join in on the building. This wasn't his crew after all.

Okay, yeah, one could be considered a cosmic "force". The other one I'm thinkin' of is more like a cosmic traveler. An' this place gets about as weird as you could ask sometimes an' still obey the laws of physics.

Sure, that'll work. Lemme clean up here real quick an' I'll meetcha over at the Hub in a breem or two? Uh…about ten, twenty minutes?

[Wheeljack hadn't missed the massive, green mech hanging around the outskirts of the construction site. He himself wasn't a construction bot per se, but he kept himself available for the maintenance of the heavy machinery and the drones that /were/ being used alongside workers who knew what they were doing. So he did a lot of sitting back and observing the area, if only to keep overly curious (or mischievous) persons from getting too close to anything.]

[Having spotted the green mech several times now, he finally decided to approach. It would be "with a grin", but of course…no mouth. But there is lightness to his bearing that has a positivity to it – he's not intending to "confront" the mech or any such thing. His tone clears any doubt when he gets close enough to comfortably speak, vocal flanges flashing with his voice.]

Hey, seen ya been watchin' the work. Casual interest or this somethin' ya used ta do back home?

[There's a small number of things he could say – all supportive – but if she'd rather speak in person, he'll wait till then.]

I'm free now if ya wanna get together somewhere.

[Another moment or six and the engineer will finally come around into view. He'll skirt around to Wing's left to the corner he mentioned, moving mindfully up to a contraption on the table. He'll switch it off, then finally cross to Wing with a hand offered.]

Hey, there. Don't think we've actually properly met.

J'har. Huh, haven't heard of that race before. But I guess if they're compatible...

[He shrugs, then refocuses on her.]

I take it you're new, Jendayi, yeah? Ya got a place ta stay yet, anyone ta help look after ya?

[Wing gives him a bit of a curious and amused look.] I don't believe we have.

[He takes Wheeljack's hand firmly.] Wing. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Snow, huh? Didn't think it was for water, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was used for. You've handled somethin' like this before, then?

Wing. Pleased ta meet you too. [The tone, like the handshake, are equally firm, and welcoming.]

Was there somethin' particular ya wanted ta come see me about, or just wanna see the shop?

[Not that he wasn't interested before, but that's definitely piqued his curiosity. Anything aimed to help the city in general is good in his book.]

[Lea was about to ask what a 'breem' was but thankfully Wheeljack clarified it.]

[After a brief pause, just in case Wheeljack had any more to say, Lea ended the transmission.

And a short time later, Wheeljack would find Lea at the bar, leaning on the bar itself and idly sipping some spiced rum, half watching the door as he waited for the Autobot to arrive.]

Oh yeah, from what I can see? Very like it. ...and being thrown a bit is understandable, since even though they're made for snow, you can take a snowmobile over water... If you're going fast enough. It's doable, but not the best idea to try.

[A slight pause in case Wheeljack has anything else to say, then the feed shuts off. Jadewing then heads outside, tucks his drone in his cockpit (because otherwise it'd be left far behind), and takes off, transforming to jet mode mid air.

He flies at a relatively leisurely pace, but still it doesn't take him long to reach the coordinates Wheeljack supplied. He circles in and returns to robot mode, landing with practiced ease just outside and releasing his drone from his cockpit.

He then goes up and presses the door chime, waiting for an answer from within. Normally he wouldn't bother, given that Wheeljack already knows he's coming, but given the awkwardness of the Autobot toward him, he figures it can't hurt to be polite.]
