Magically reinforced your finish? Basically. Nothing should scuff or scratch it short of stuff what would mark the metal. If you get a dent or a gouge or whatever, the effect'll end, but until then... And, I can always recast it.

Honestly, so am I. [Additional comments are postponed for the face-bump, which is unexpected (and catlike) enough to crack Sam up. It's a sweet gesture, though---and she knows how it is to have to improvise casual contact, what with the dash-pats and elbowings her Cybertronian friends are inevitably in for.] You're very welcome! And yeah, yeah---ad hoc stuff is sorta all over the board, but this didn't take as much oomph as I was afraid it might. And even if it had taken twice as much, the look on your face would still have been worth it.

Blood being drawn was the extent of it; no actual injury, so don't worry. I'm fine! Promise. It's nothing worse than what my magic has always involved---except for Breakdown's present, but that didn't involve any of my blood. Don't worry about that, either; that was a rabbit's.

[Sam leans to one side so as to pull a little parcel out of her pocket. It's very small---less than half the size of her fist---tied up in red silk.]

I'm going to tell him to keep it with him for luck, and to not open it up, or ask for details.

They are, provided some specifics are met. I went looking into it, asked Rathan about it, since the Guardian specializing in magic should be a reputable resource; got it confirmed. I'm not saying it's not still creepy, but...
