[Zero manages not to shiver as he feels several of the cats on the side start moving. The one nearest the offered food is first, as well as one higher up near his shoulder, and a third in his hip.]

Aha, sweet success! [Sam tears a piece off the headcheese she's holding, offering it to the cat Hiro's caught to hopefully placate it. It's a nice thought---what's probably not-so-nice is the revelation that that 'cheese' really isn't cheese at all.] For a start.

It's not as indiscriminate as he makes it sound. It's scraps of pig meat which, yes, come mostly from the head, suspended in a gel together so as to be sliceable.

Seconding what he said, with some reservations. And for the flip? Just energon sounds pretty boring. I'm aware it's probably not so boring as it sounds, but... is it not still square one for everything you consume?

Not exactly. Energon comes in a variety of grades to start with, then you have the various colors, and then there are synthetic additives that can be added to any grade. All of these things can change the taste of them. It can also be presented in different forms, though the most common is liquid, but it can come as a harder substance or a semi-soft form as well.

You should tell us more. I haven't really had this conversation beyond some mutual 'the stuff you consume is kinda weird.'

[Zero chuckles.] Since I don’t know what “pudding” and “salad” are, I’m afraid I can’t really answer that.

[With most of the cats...out of him now, he’ll open a small compartment on his hip that...seems to open into darkness rather than...ya know...a cavity in his armor? He reaches in and pulls out a small pink thing between his fingers. It’s small enough to be like a cube shaped throw pillow to a human.]

This is one form. [He’ll offer it to Sam. It’s kind of like handling a really big jell-o cube...sorry if it’s heavy.]
