[The feed cuts in mid-shriek, Sam’s drone apparently having interpreted the start of the sound as its cue to begin broadcasting. It shows the adept pushing herself to her feet, having been knocked to her hands and knees by---what? Water. She’s drenched to dripping, and the street she stands on is wet for several metres all around.]

Calvaire de crisse...!

[It’s no more than a mutter as she straightens and immediately starts for the shelter of the closest building, casting an anxious glance up as she goes. She’s through a doorway in a matter of moments due to making haste, and relaxes---marginally---as she moves further away from the entrance.]

Yes and no. On one hand, he's come close to stomping on me before and is perfectly willing to eat people. On the other, so long as he doesn't just blindside me, I should be able to hold out until help arrives.

[Despite the seeker's skepticism and sneering, Sam's almost serene---irritation lingers, but most of her anger has been swept aside by the vicious satisfaction of successfully executing her ad hoc hex.]

Pop culture's kind of popularized this idea that water will melt witches. He must've decided that after all the hauntings, just me haunting him would be bearable. That was one mistake.

[Drawing a slow breath, Sam starts to spread her hands before planting them on her hips, visibly irritated.]

Reminds me, I've been meaning to ask how you liked Tremors. Better than the other horror movies you've seen, I hope.

I like to think I've got some good sense; now, I've got good sense and three people to call on if everything goes to hell. If Dirge openly comes at me, I should be able to get away and make him miserable in the process, but it's going to take a third party to break things up if that kind of incident ever occurs... and so I should say thank you. It means a lot to me.
