[Accidental Video] - OTA, action welcome
[A random camera - probably from someone's abandoned comm drone - flickers on at registering movement somewhere close in front of it. There's a wide, if empty, street visible. And a rainbow ending in a deep, golden kettle of . . . what appear to be tiny stones in a multitude of colors. But what caught the drone's attention?]
[Possibly the thick, black mist that's flowing across the ground. The mist pauses, gathering on itself as it comes close to the pot. Then it condenses further, rising up vertically as it solidifies into a familiar, if for many very unwelcome sight - a very tall, impossibly thin figure wrapped in a flowing black robe, face hidden in the depths of the hood.]
The figure crouches down on its heels and extends a long arm, a skeletal hand of long fingers coming into view as it reaches into the pot. Gingerly, it pinches one of the "stones" between the boney tips of thumb and forefinger, lifting the pebble up for better viewing. The figure turns the pebble this way and that, and then . . . the fingers reach shallowly into the hood, coming away empty. Did he/she/it just...EAT that thing? It would seem so, the head tilting slightly as the figure seems to decide what it things of the pebble.]
[Apparently, it likes it, as next comes out what must be a pouch of some kind, formed of smokey blackness. A boney hand scoops a generous helping of pebbles into the pouch. Then it stands, and casually starts to walk off, popping another pebble into its unseen mouth.]

MYTHS REGARDING RAINBOWS VARY. SOME MERELY MENTION TREASURE. WHAT CONSTITUTES "TREASURE" IS OFTEN UP FOR INTERPRETATION. A CHILD, FOR EXAMPLE, MIGHT VALUE A LARGE POT OF CANDY MORE THAN A POT OF GOLD.
[The shift in attitude doesn't escape Death, and he turns more fully to Lea.]
YOU MISS HER. [It's not a question so much as an acknowledgment.] YOU WILL SEE HER AGAIN. PERHAPS NOT IN THIS LIFETIME, BUT YOU WILL.
I HAVE BEEN WELL, BY YOUR STANDARDS. THE MIASMA HAS BEEN RELATIVELY QUIET, AND SO HAS THE POPULACE OF HAVEN.

Mmm... guess that's true. And you can't really eat gold either, so candy's a lot more helpful if you're hungry, even if it doesn't have much nutritional value.
[Unless one was somewhere that accepted gold as currency or trade goods in which case it still might be helpful in getting food. But that would be over-complicating the discussion.
Lea smiled a little sadly at Death's declaration about Elsa.]

[And carefully avoiding the subject of the rest of his life potentially not being that long a time, if Master Xehanort and his cohorts had their way back home. Because yeah, not something he liked thinking too hard about.]
The miasma being quiet is good news for everyone. Only activity I've seen from it are these rainbows, and they seem innocent enough.
[Emphasis on the 'seem' because the miasma was tricky like that.]
