Friendship Rant 001 [Video]

[Well, video feeds are likely a common occurrence for many of the citizens of this place, though the tiny blonde haired girl on this feed is likely a new sight for everyone as she hops a bit on the lip of one of the many craters dotted in the landscape. The perkiness doesn't detract from the demon wings fluttering on her back or the demon tail swishing around behind her though.]

I'm going to call you Mister Remington the Third okay mister floating robot thing.

...Oh! Hello everyone in this new place! I don't know how Miss Gatekeeper brought me here or why there isn't a gate to go back through, but until I find a way back to the Netherworld I am very pleased to meet each and every one of you. I hope we'll all get to become great friends as well.

My name is Flonne I use to be an Angel Trainee but now I'm a Fallen Angel and I believe in the power of Love and Kindness! I'm also looking for my friends Laharl and Etna if anyone has seen them.

Well, most of the people I've met are pretty cool, so being friends shouldn't be too hard. Just a heads up though... some of the things around here are pretty strange.

[Though it was hard to say how strange things like Robots and ~~ghost cats~~ Energy beings would be to a fallen angel.]

But you never know. Mister Thursday was built by humans but he learned how to have feelings.

But we're not really stranded here though. A way out just hasn't been found yet! Master Lamington says there is always a reason for everything you just have to find it. So we just have to find out why we're here and what we need to do to finally go home.

They are at least in our hearts though so their memories will never fade. We just have to believe in this Mister Lea.

[We can't stay sad for long Lea think happy thoughts.]

I committed a Great Sin and so Master Lamington had to punish me because even if it was done to help everyone it was still a Sin and thus I must pay a price for such. It's not so bad because at least I can now spend forever with Laharl and Etna.

[There are people in another universe that are still trying to find an off button for her. They would likely pay you a lot of money if you could find one Maya.]

That just means it's going to be more of an adventure to meet people I wouldn't expect to meet at all.

Right. And you can drop the 'Mister', by the way; makes me sound like somebody's dad. Just Lea's fine.

[He nods at her explanation. Part of him wants to ask for details, but something else catches his attention about the story first.]

So... your friends Laharl and Etna were, shall we say, on the... opposite end of the celestial spectrum from the start? How'd that happen? I mean, last I checked, your two sides really didn't get along.

Yep! They're both demons of the netherworld and I met them when Master Lamington sent me to assassinate the Demon Lord King Krichevskoy. We became friends after I found out he was already dead and Laharl was attempting to become the new overlord and I helped him.

[That gets a raised eyebrow. Both that a 'trainee' was sent as an assassin, and that she later helped a demon become the new 'Overlord'.]

Was that what cost you your... um... angel-ness? Cause correct me if I'm wrong, but helping demons sounds like it'd be a big no-no for an angel, even if they are just a trainee.

[She giggles softly. You’re silly. She likes you.]

[She blushes softly, brushing a hand down her hair.] Thank you.

....You will? [Did he just make a friend without even trying? Maybe he really was getting better at this... After his miserable failure with the spirit medium, the clone was a bit discouraged.]

Yes, friends have to help each other, that is part of the deal, I was told. [Dirge replies with a nod, pleased to have another valuable person invested in helping him get what he wanted.]

One thing- does experiencing love involve killing anyone? Because I'm unable to do that unless I can find a way of exorcising ghosts or countering witch spells.

Nope! Master Lamington really wanted to find a way to make Demons and Angels get along better and he actually wanted me to prove that Demon's can love just like anyone else.

I was punished because when we tried to save everyone I had to harm other Angels and that is a Great Sin. It's okay though! As long as I can stay with Laharl and Etna.

[She just nods energetically in answer.]

It's very nice to meet you Miss Jendayi, I'm so happy we can be friends and share so many adventures together here now!

Of course I will! Flonne the messenger of Love and Kindness will always be willing to be a friend to anyone and everyone who needs or wants a friend!

It's not a deal Mister, it's part of what being a friend is all about because helping one another makes strong bonds that can lead to powerful things in times when all hope can seem lost!

[Flonne, stop quoting anime at the giant robot.]

Uhm, no, though Demons seem to like beating each other up and I think it's just a way to show they care or something. Etna is always trying to kill Laharl to make certain he's strong enough to fight against other demons that would really want to hurt him.

[That's not exactly true Flonne, but no one is here to correct her on that.]

Heh, as long as they're safe adventures. I don't think Lea would like me doing anything dangerous.

And he thought assassinating their king would help them get along with you?

[Lea clearly doesn't get that logic.]

Hmmm... What were you trying to save everyone from?

I’m not sure, since I don’t know which way you’re facing. But you should be able to see the lights in the distance. Or again, I can trace your signal and come out to meet you.

Perfect! I've heard friends are very valuable things to have. I wonder how much more so if one is a fallen angel....

It's not? It sounds like a contractual agreement to me... Friends are obligated to help each other or else the friendship is terminated, yes?

[Now that part makes more sense to him than anything else she's said.] Demons sound a lot like decepticons. So beating up a friend is acceptable, just not killing them?

We'll find a hero if anything seems dangerous to protect us if we really have to go somewhere that doesn't seem safe. Or let Mister Lea come with us so he can make certain everything is safe!

[Flonne what is your logic?]

Uhm, I guess so? Though it all worked out for the best even though that didn't go the way it was planned. Master Lamington has a lot of plans that I don't really understand.

[Flonne doesn't understand either because Lamington doesn't tell anyone else his grand plans]

We're were stopping a Earth from trying to destroy the Netherworld.

[You sound so much like the demons back home, it's like she never left.]

The beating up depends really, Angels don't beat one another up, but Demons do so it took me a long time to realize it was a sign of affection between Etna and Laharl and of course you don't want to kill your friends Mister! How can they be your friend if they are dead?

Well, that makes two of us then.

[Lea had a boss like that too; it's a pain. Though Flonne's was probably much less evil.]

Anyway, I'm glad you succeeded. Anything out to destroy a whole world needs to be stopped; even if the other world is genuinely a threat, there is such a thing as overkill.

This is why we all have to learn to get along and see that we truly do need each other!

[And she just is going to sit on a crater lip and kick her feet a bit before bouncing up and waving at the vehicle coming towards her. Completely ignoring the fact she's on the lip of said crater.]
