Video
[The feed comes on to show a bot who really has been rather quiet lately, offering a crooked half-smile.]
Hey folks.
[Did that seem like too much steam? He was just standing there, it didn’t look like he should be venting nearly that much steam in that case.]
Was just hopin’ someone c-could do me a favor, n-n- [Well that sudden malfunction of voice didn’t bode well. The titanium bot stopped dead, a tremor running through his frame as the sound of something grinding in his chassis was heard, the echo of something snapping accompanying the sudden jerk of his frame, steam billowing around him as his optics went dark and he suddenly sank on his feet as his systems simply forced a shutdown before something else went wrong.
The silence stretched a moment before there was another jerk of movement from the bot, steam hissing from vents as his gaze lifted, the light of his optics narrowed to pinpricks as there was a sudden tearing of fabric and he suddenly struck out at the drone. Not like anyone would know if the drone fared well after that; the feed cutting abruptly.]
Action
[Even if someone missed the video, it would be quite clear that something was not right with The Spine if they ran into him outside. His normal almost awkwardly smooth, practiced way of moving had been replaced by a heavy sort of gait that he hadn’t used since he was younger, the way he seemed to look through anyone that came near.
Sleeves shredded, fabric hanging in tatters around the weapons his arms had shifted to, the bot clearly on the hunt for something. Not seeing the city around him, seeing instead a bleak landscape, hearing the metallic trumpeting of the enemy. Whatever else might be happening, it was plain that he did not mean well for whoever crossed his path.]
((OOC: Warbot malfunction! There's some chance for some triggering mess- body horror, violence, death, things of that nature, so if you don't want that, just put an ooc note in your first reply and I'll make sure everything's a-ok. Also if you want your character and Spine to throw down let me know what the limits are/if you want to deal with them dying or not, serious injuries etc. His app has all the info on his warbot weapons but ask me if you need clarification!))

[Action] Throwing most everyone in bc why not XD
[The little knitted doll was just out exploring, riding its - his - comm drone around, when he sensed it. Danger. Threat. Alarm. ...despair? Helplessness.]
The Spine!
[Oh, no, what's wrong, friend!? Xan guides his drone, looking for the antique music-bot.]
[War bot.]
[War? What? ...no, it's true. Oh goodness, and now he's malfunctioning. This is no good at all! Determined to help, Xan searches until he finds the lumbering mess of a robot. He moves his drone into The Spine's view without getting too close.]
The Spine? The Spine! Can you hear me? It's Xan.
((ooc: No TW needed for me. XD I would kinda like them to fight. XD Maybe we can coordinate on Plurk later how this'll go? Admittedly, while Xan /has/ powers, they're not very well defined (mostly hinted at and used "off-screen" in the game), so this'll also let me start fleshing them out a bit, I think. \o/))
[action] Buwahaha!
The drone and it's passenger were small enough that he paused, frame jerking, steam hissing from vents as he surveyed them. Not human. Mechanical and... something else. But... no Blue Matter. Which could only mean one thing.]
T-t-t-take it down-!
[Too far to use his saw, bringing his Blue Matter array to bear as he approached, a whine and sparking signalling the nasty-looking weapon was charging.]
no subject
[And, Xan realizes, he won't stop unless he /is/ stopped.]
[Blue-white energy crackles down the little doll's right arm, gathering in his hand, as he takes a braced stance on his drone.]
The Spine! I don't want to hurt you, but you need to stop! Get a hold of yourself before you hurt someone!

His creator still aboard the great giraffe, begging Thaddeus to stop, to stand down before anyone else was hurt before more innocents were killed.
'Delilah wouldn't have wanted this!'
Even as chaos reigned, the Blue Matter bots doing their best against Green, against creations specifically designed for war, to kill, whereas Walters creations were meant for other things. A last ditch effort to stop a madman who'd once been his closest friend.
The titanium bot lifting his arm, firing the Blue Matter array at what he saw as threat, as enemy. Here was hoping poor Xan and his drone were fast enough to dodge that streak of bright, searing blue.]

[Xan gets his shield up in time to block the shot, but being in mid-air as he is, it's kind of like the super-powered version of blowing on a soap bubble. With no ground to stabilize himself against, he's thrown backwards and off the drone. The shield holds but only barely. What the HELL kind of energy is that!?]
[Dropping the shield for a moment, he lets himself fall to the ground, the battered comm drone following its programming to simply shoot up and away from the registered threats. No problem, he'd just retrieve it later. For now...]
[Standing to take a braced stance, bean-weighted feet set wide, he gathers power in into his hand again.]
My turn.
[He unleashes what could best be described as an electrified, blue fireball, aiming for The Spine's legs. If he can disrupt and knock the robot over, maybe it'll snap him out of it. Or . . . maybe it'll just make him worse, but Xan won't start going for his head or chest unless he /has/ to.]

no subject
[He bolted after the robot, hoping to get up by his head or on his chest and try to snap him out of whatever nightmare he was reliving.]
no subject
It took a moment for the bot to reorient, huffing a burst of steam as he focused on that little doll that was approaching. Optics narrowing as he swiped in that direction with his saw. Clearly someone had been reassessed as a threat.]
no subject
[Well, he's agile, and a very small target, so he'll continue trying to get close to The Spine's head, preferably from behind if possible . . . though he's no longer quite certain what to do. Sure, he could just obliterate the titanium robot - he took out a horde of conglomerated fire demons right before coming here (granted, he's not recovered his full power again from that yet) - but he's holding back. He doesn't /want/ to hurt his friend, let alone destroy him!]
[Oooooh what to do, what to do!?]

Either way, it'd be in Xan's best interest to be out of sight when The Spine was seeing clearly again.]
no subject
I'm sorry, The Spine! I don't want to just leave you like this. Hopefully, it won't be for long. But you're going to be all right. I'll make sure of it!
[And with that, he's dashed around a corner and out of sight.]
